To my Loyal Loft Loving Friends and Clients,
Writing this little article every week seems like such a task. I don't know how people do this for a living! The kicker is that last week, 218 individuals opened the email and every week someone reads it and wants to work on finding or selling a home.
According to the RI Association of Realtors, home sales were up 22.3 percent in August from last year. I've copied a blurb and provided a link to the full article below. I helped 5 client(s) close on the purchase of new homes and 3 client(s) close on the sale of their homes last month (personal best). Every one of the buyers had found me through the WeLoveLofts web site, with one couple being from South Dakota and another couple from NYC. Talk about the power of the internet.
The lease for the LOFT in Monohasset Mills is signed. The rental in Corliss Landing is still available (surprisingly) and I now have a new rental listing in Bayley Lofts. I'm available for showings, so give me a call.
I just listed a new loft, Unit 303 in Mile Square Lofts. This unit has an amazing grouping of windows that face North and West and is currently divided into two bedrooms. The unit is filled with the owner's belongings, so I will show some pictures of when it was empty below. Several of you have expressed interest in a 2000 SqFt open Loft with brick walls, high ceilings, and hardwood floors in the $150K price range, so call immediately, this is your baby!!. This Loft is a short sale and is listed for $169,000.
We also listed Unit 5I in the Doran Building at 150 Chestnut St in the Jewelry District for $389K. This loft is 3720 SqFt of crazy downtown potential. The space is currently being used as commercial rental, but with a little work it could be the loft dreams are made of.
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that New Urban Arts was holding a silent auction in Trump Tower. We donated two of my sister's paintings and they both sold for a total of $1700 that will be donated directly to the Jeanne Risica Fund for Art Education. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all that participated in the event.
Lastly, I've added another site to our list of Friends and Family. Jennifer Skaife is a designer, artist and writer that is considering moving to the Providence area. See her work below.
Please call me when you are ready to start looking for a Loft or other type of home. It is a gift to be able to help clients find homes that they love.
