To my Loyal Loft Loving Friends and Clients,
I will be off the grid this week, moving out of our home of almost 15 years. I can be reached by phone, but will be slow to return calls and emails. I'll work harder next week.
For those that read it, one of today's New York Times headlines reads "House Prices Are Set to Hit Another Low". For those in the market, remember to read this as, "Greatest Buying Opportunities in a Decade". The "Freedom" unit in Portsmouth's CARNEGIE ABBEY CLUB recently closed for $800,000. This unit was last listed for $1,300,000. It was originally listed for $2,200,000. The market price adjustment that we are experiencing is giving buyers opportunities to live in homes that they could only dream about 3-5 years ago. These examples are all around us.
The Loft in Eagle Square is being rented for 4 years to a Brown medical student. As soon as I post rental opportunities on RentProv and CraigsList, I get slammed with calls. If anyone out there has a loft that they would consider renting, please give me a call. I need lofts to rent and the properties that I have are renting out faster than they come in. (FYI - I hear that I might have a gorgeous loft rental on Douglas Ave next week...)
The price for Unit 405 in Mile Square Lofts has dropped to $309,000 and we are also making available for rent at $2300/month. Think 3190 Sq Ft, 2 1/2 baths, Rock Star Loft...
The price for Unit 304 in Mile Square Lofts has dropped to $139,000. This loft is really one of the few, live work opportunities out there. Don't let it pass and then complain because you didn't make an attempt to buy it.

Mile Square Lofts Unit 304 price drops to $139,000 |
Unit 304 in Mile Square rocks. I'm not sure why someone hasn't made an offer on this loft, but let me say it again...1900 SqFt two bedroom loft for $139K.
This one makes especially good sense for an investor, as the current tenants want to stay!
