To my Loyal Loft Loving Friends and Clients,
So after years of living on the water in Warwick, RI, my wife and I have chosen to downsize from our current home. The budget for our search is a pretty reasonable $215K. We are looking for a home with at least 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and two garages. We quickly confirmed that the chance of finding a loft in this budget, with these minimum requirements was out of the question. Read below about how a developer in Philadelphia is building homes that would not only fit our needs, but are also Leed Platinum Certified.
I knew that there were people out there waiting for owners of the mills in Fall River to build Lofts. See one of several letters that I received from my readers on this subject below.
The Church in Westport is not going up for sale immediately, but we got some serious action on the links to the articles. if anyone is interested in type of property, give me a call. The owner would gladly entertain showings.
We closed Unit 201 in Mile Square Lofts yesterday. The two raw units might take a little longer than expected, but should be closed in a week or two. Either of these two raw units can be build to spec. I would say the budget for 101 (2000+ SqFt) should be around $159K and the budget for 203 (3200+ SqFt) should be around $199K.
We will be running our OPEN HOUSE at 46 Cucumber Hill Road in Foster for at least one more week. Read about the huge 30x38 foot garage on 5.2 acres below. This represents a unique opportunity to have a huge work space on a huge piece of land. I know that its not a Loft, but.....

I am working with a developer in Providence that wants to build Loft condos that are similar to the ones in this article, but needs an infusion of cash from an investor. Is anyone interested in LEED Platinum Single Family Homes for $200K. I would be interested in feedback from my readers.

Fall River Update | |
John,
Thanks so much for updating us on the Fall River mill loft situation, I've been waiting years for them to build lofts out of all those old mills especially down by the water near Battle Ship Cove. I think it'll just take a couple of brave mill owners, developers and contractors who are willing to make loft living in Fall River a possibility and bring a young crowd to the city. I always read your news letter so I look forward to the day that you can write that some more sweet lofts are going to finally be built in south eastern Mass.
