To my Loyal Loft Loving Friends and Clients,
I attended a forum last week held by the Fall River Mill Owners titled "Grow Our Mills, Grow Fall River". At the forum, many lenders, business people and academics presented their organizations and offered unique opportunities to businesses that call Fall River their home. Despite their good intentions, I think that this organization has completely missed an opportunity that would attract a younger, more creative demographic to the City. Take some of the empty mill building and build some cheap and cool Live/Work Lofts. The benefits from bringing a younger, more dynamic demographic into the downtown area would fuel economic growth. As we have learned, people that live in lofts are creative, hard working, and spend money. They go to work every day and like the idea of walking to work. They like the idea of living in a neighborhood and being surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops and bars. Build Lofts, Fall River, and
the people will come and fuel your economy.
I am going to list another church that has been converted into a single family residence in Westport, MA. All of you that missed your opportunity on C Street in Cranston and Ohio Ave in Providence should pay attention. I will include links to a couple of articles featuring this home below and a full listing next week. BTW, the pics above are of this property.
I can proudly say the the last three units in Mile Square Lofts are closing next week. When I first got my real estate license, I sat in front of Mile Square and ran an open house every weekend for almost a whole year. This loft project was my first development and allowed me to meet buyers that ultimately bought Lofts both in this building and throughout the state of RI.
I know that we talk about Lofts in this update, but sometimes buyers just want alot of space and can't really make a Loft work. For those people, we are having an OPEN HOUSE at 46 Cucumber Hill Road in Foster. Read about the huge 30x38 foot garage on 5.2 acres below.
I've been having some fun with my WeLoveLofts Blog. I can't say that it 100% is a loft blog, but it's 100% me. Check it out, but please don't hold what I say or post against me.
