Only You Can Protect and Strengthen the Older Americans Act
Since 1965, the Older Americans Act (OAA) has been the primary vehicle for delivering social, nutritional, home and community based services to seniors and their caregivers. Every four years, Congress reauthorizes the OAA. Due in 2011, the reauthorization presents a timely opportunity to address elder concerns and make lasting, strategic changes to ensure all older adults are able to access the resources they need. Now, more than ever, we need the support of Congress to reauthorize and ensure appropriate funding levels for the OAA.
Please add your voice to those supporting this effort. It takes only a moment to send your message online - just one message will reach all three of your representatives: Senators Boxer and Feinstein, and Congressman Farr. Act now!
