Contract Work: An Alternative Employment Solution for Today's Workforce
"A study produced by Human Capital Institute revealed that contract work is the fastest growing area of employment. According to the report this shift from traditional employment offers benefits to both organizations and workers. For organizations contract labor provides affordable access to a very skilled, specialized workforce. For the worker contract positions are not only viable employment options in a down economy but provide challenging work and flexible schedules. During ANP's May Career Growth Event a panel will share how they used their professional experience to acquire freelance projects and launch consultant businesses." FUNDING NOTICE The DeKalb County Community Development Department is accepting applications from municipalities, citizens, faith-based organizations, Community organizations, private agencies and other entities interested in applying for CDBG, Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), and HOME/CHDO funds for the Year 2010.
