HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
For $50 you can provide a Thanksgiving or holiday dinner for families we serve.

Greetings! Boy

Like the changing leaves in autumn, each individual and family The Arc serves is unique.

Too often, society can overlook the enormous potential that radiates from individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Here at The Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region, we believe and see the possibilities in each child and adult that receives our services and work with families, doctors, nurses, staff and the individuals themselves to ensure a bright future.

Although there have been many setbacks this year -budget cuts and more budget cuts - we are looking to the future to heal these cuts. Read on to learn about exciting events and other ways The Arc is working for the individuals we serve.

CHEERS to everyone who made the Saints and Sinners Cocktail Party a huge SUCCESS!

On October 30th over 200 people gathered at The Loews Powerhouse in Annapolis to help us raise OVER $12,000 for the individuals we serve!

Guests enjoyed The Sinners' Lounge, where they indulged in delicious hors de voeures and signature cocktails, and The Saints' Sanctuary which had decadent and heavenly desserts. Entertainment was provided by Tom Lagana in the Sinners' Lounge and members of Radio City in the Saints' Sanctuary.

Thanks to our sponsors listed to the left, 100% of the ticket sales and wish auction donations will go directly to our programs and services.

Bowen Foundation Awards Grant to The Arc!

The Bowen Foundation for Autism, a fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, has committed a minimum of $30,000 to The Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region's Rolling Access Program!

The Bowen Foundation for Autism is a local, volunteer-based group dedicated to raising funds and
awareness for the prevention, treatment and research related to autism in Maryland. This grant
partnership with The Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region will provide dollars to families living
with autism to help them experience the most productive lives possible.

Applications will be accepted for review by December 15, 2009 and approved/declined by early March, 2010. While no minimum or maximum funding request restrictions have been set, the Bowen
Foundation has limited dollars to allocate to this program so grantees are asked to be as frugal and in
requests as possible.

If your family is living with autism, and you would like to apply for the grant, please click here to visit our website and download the application
