April is always a great time of the year for us at Montana Fly Fishing Guides, mostly because tax season is over and we get to go fishing!
The weather in Montana is variable this time of year but generally switches from full winter to part time spring and the fishing really starts to heat up. Several of our guides have been hitting the water with those guests who've taken advantage of our early season discounts. The fishing has been very good this spring and we are only days away from the famed Mother's Day Caddis Hatch here on the Yellowstone River.
Feel free to check out our Fishing Reports page to stay updated on this amazing time of the season.
If you are planning on fly fishing Montana this summer please visit our website and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be more than happy to help you plan your next Montana fly fishing vacation.

We have several fishing/lodge packages available and we are certain that you won't find a better riverside value.

Spring Creek Fishing Packages
As many of you know these amazing creeks book full up to a year in advance. However, because of our great relationship with these land owners we have procured the following rods for you in advance.
We still have a few prime dates on Armstrong Spring Creek during late June and early July. These are some of the most sought after rods anywhere in Montana because of the spectacular Pale Morning Dun (PMD) hatch that occurs during this time frame. The big, wary trout loose their inhibitions to feast on delicate mayflies which can result in some magnificent fishing. Don't wait too long to make your reservations or you'll have to wait until next year to fish these amazing waters. To see what dates are still available please contact Eric Adams via email and he'll give you the low down on this great opportunity. |
