This session will give participants the opportunity to discuss what works, what doesn't work, and what can be better. An interactive session that examines case studies, you will come away with new ideas to apply to your work. This session assumes that you have a basic understanding of social networking and will help you to use modern-day technology tools more efficiently.

If you've been hearing the buzz about hybrid events, then you probably have many questions about the topic, ranging from why would you do one, to what is it, to how do you put one together? Midori Connolly will answer these questions and more. You will see how the technology might be adapted to add value to your own meeting programs through an energetic presentation including interactive Q&A and demonstration. In this exploratory workshop, event planners will be able to evaluate and experience some of the latest tech tools in the events industry. From RFID to Augmented Reality to digital lighting, the world of event technology is in constant flux. Event professionals know how difficult it can be to determine which technologies have a place in our stable and which are just toys. This session will focus on how to work through the excitement and wow-factor of technology, from RFID devices to AudioVisual to QR Codes, to deliver value to a client or employer.


The session is presented by two females who believe in creating a no-fear zone where any question about technology is always okay to ask, all levels of experience are welcome!
