Most of us find it deeply gratifying to sculpt ice.  Over time even thre most passionate tend to lose a little of the fire.  One way to keep things fresh is to experiment with other mediums. 

 

Every year I make sure there is at least 1 art project that does not fit into the run of the mill ice carving catagory.  This helps me relax, & broadens my knowledge as a Sculptor.  Some times looking at things from a slightly different perspective allows us to improve our ice art.   See below for a few examples
