Greg  Demaline, Jeff Meyers & I recently entered one of NICA's Competitions where you carve the sculpture at your studio & then photograph it.  Once photographed,  you send in that photograph & it is judged.  Each competition has a few unique guidelines,  this one required that the sculpture be carved 80% by a CNC machine. 

 

This was a good team building excercise.  I designed the sculpture, Greg prepped the ice & ran it on our CNC machine & Jeff helped detail the pieces.  Then we took all of the parts out behind our studio & assembled it as a team.  (See below for details)

 

For those that are interested-  the photo of me covered in snow {shown below) was taken in faibanks Alaska by Linda Heck.  That morning when we woke up it was -45 degrees!  that marks my coldest day on earth.
