 Managing Billing Rates
Are you responsible for managing billing rates within a Facility or Service Center? Do you find it challenging?
A Service Center must operate on a breakeven basis and make sure consistent rates are charged to users. As most of you know if a surplus or deficit accumulates, billing rates are to be adjusted accordingly.
IT Works has a Facility/Re-Charge Center software module that generates invoices, tracks their payments, and produces reports to aid in the management of the facility. Multiple billing rates can be established for different services or groups of facility users.
For example, University faculty may be charged a lower rate than users from organizations outside of the University. Management reports allow users to track facility usage by work completion date, type of work completed, or principle investigator. One installation can be used to manage multiple facilities.
