IT Works News
July 2010

Greetings

University Building

The long hot days of July are about to come to a close.  For those of you that might still be in the process of closing out your fiscal year, keep in mind that IT Works offers many tools and services that can assist you with the process. This month we touch on our Electronic Billing solution to assist with invoicing for your recharge centers.  For our Grant Module users that have multi-year projects that are coming to the end of a budget year, it might be time to update the budget amount information.  Our training article this month discusses how the Grant Module can assist you in this process.  We would also like to invite you to register to win a travel award to help you attend this years NCURA conference.   We are here to help you because we believe, as Winston Churchill did, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Using the Other Years Grid to Track Funding for Multi-Year Projects

Multi-year projects are often composed of different budget periods, one for each year of the project, and thus provide a unique set of tracking issues.  In some cases, information is needed by individual budget period.  In others, it is needed for the entire project period.  The Department Manager and College Administrator Grant Modules are uniquely designed for this tracking problem.  To learn more about managing multi-year projects, click here.

IT Works Incorporated
Electronic Billing Solution

Are you struggling with collecting payments for invoices from your recharge center?  IT Works Facility Management Module provides an electronic billing solution to help with this problem.  It notifies investigators via e-mail alerts when invoices are available for review; displays them for review on our web-based On-Line Management system; and then provides a file that can be uploaded to your university GL system to create an electronic journal entry for payment.  And, the resulting payment occurs within 30 days.   Let us know if this might be helpful you.
