Countdown to UFAA Vegas Convention 2011
UFAA Members Only - Convention Dates June 6,7,8,9
You only have 45 days to register.
Current Member Registration deadline April 15th.
New Member join date and convention registration deadline is March 8th.
Need a change of scenery? Need to get out of town for a few days and away from the business? Want to know what's happening across the Farmer's territory? Talk to agents attending from California to Ohio at this outstanding annual UFAA event.
UFAA has planned the 2011 exciting National Convention to be held at the fabulous Golden Nugget 4-star Hotel and Casino in beautiful downtown Las Vegas June 6-7-8-9 with convention special $39* Carson Tower Room rates. See the Vegas sites and make this an education vacation you will long remember. If you have not attended a UFAA Convention, you owe it to yourself to get a real education outside Farmers. Registered non-member guests are welcome to attend non-business functions of the convention.

How long are the $39 convention room rates valid?
Room rates subject to change outside the convention dates of June 6-9.
Room upgrades available at reasonable rates during convention.
When must member applications and registration be processed to attend the convention?
Current UFAA Members- Submit pre-paid convention registration for member and guest by April 15, 2011.
New UFAA Members- New UFAA pre-paid membership app & convention registration for new member and guest required by March 8th.
ALL Convention Attendees- Hotel Reservation Deadline is April 15th. All attendees must book your own hotel reservations and transportation to Vegas and the Golden Nugget Hotel at an additional charge as it is not included in the convention registration price. How do I join UFAA?
Join UFAA with timely paid membership. Complete the Member app and enter "Chapter 15" on the application "chapter # box" and or "referred by line" at the bottom of the membership application and submit by March 8th. Mark bottom of app "Membership only." Or, optionally submit Convention paid registration form at same time as stated above. You may access the membership app at this link
Where do I send membership apps and/or convention registration forms with full payment?
Each application has instructions and you can use Mastercharge and Visa cards to complete your payment for membership and/or convention registration quickly and easy by fax. Convention Registration link
What is the time line for the 2011 Convention?
Schedule:
June 4: National Board arrives.
June 5: National Board meeting, continental breakfast 8:30 am, meeting 9:00 am. Chapter Presidents arrive.
June 6: Chapter Presidents breakfast 7:00 -9:00 am, Meeting 9:00 am -3:00 pm. Delegates/members arrive. Hospitality room opens at 5:00 pm. (This is the convention attendee arrival day except those listed above)
June 7: National Convention Opening Breakfast begins at 7:00 am. National Convention begins at 8:30 am.
June 8: National Convention begins at 8:30 am. Cocktails begin at 6:00 pm. Banquet at 7:00 pm.
June 9: National Convention begins at 8:30 am adjourns at approximately 12:00 noon. Board meeting/luncheon at 12:30 pm.
NOTE: Non-business convention activities of Hospitality, Opening Breakfast and Cocktails/Banquet costs included in member registration. For guests to attend all or some of these functions there is an extra charge for each shown on registration form. Plan ahead for your guest. Pay-at-the-door walk-ins- Not Accepted.

Farmers to sponsor Los Angeles stadium for $700 million +LOS ANGELES -- 02/01/2011 If the NFL does return to a proposed stadium in downtown Los Angeles, the league's newest venue will be called Farmers Field. Developer AEG and Farmers Insurance Exchange announced the naming rights deal Tuesday in advance of a press conference. They did not reveal terms of the pact, but sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com that it is worth $700 million over 30 years. A source told The Associated Press that the deal could be worth $1 billion if the stadium were to attract more than one NFL team. Read more here LOS ANGELES (Feb 17, 2011) Farmers Ins & Los Angeles Sparks Renew Marketing Partnership - The Los Angeles Sparks and Farmers Insurance today announced a renewal and expansion of their marketing partnership initially formed in 2009.Beginning with the 2011 season, Farmers will serve as the presenting partner of the Sparks, an original Women's National Basketball Association team dating to the league's inception in 1997. The Los Angeles Sparks presented by Farmers partnership encompasses numerous marketing and branding elements, including a continuation of the branded jerseys first worn by Sparks players in 2009. In addition to game uniforms, Farmers will appear on team shooting shirts, in-arena signage and on the STAPLES Center court.
Sparks advertising, tickets and pocket schedules will now feature the Farmers' logo, as will the team's official website, LASparks.com. The relationship extends to cross-promotion via the social media platforms of both Farmers and the Sparks. Farmers will play a proactive role in the Sparks' community relations endeavors, including youth basketball clinics, health and wellness outreach and the WNBA's Inspiring Women campaign, developed leaguewide to celebrate the achievements of women in all walks of life.

 It's Here! 10 Digit Dialing Effective March 5th for Area Code 918 The schedule of the added area code 539 program is as follows: The first phase of the program begins on August 7, 2010. This will be the Permissive Calling Period. Customers will be able to complete a call using 7 digits or 10 digits (area code 918 plus number), this period runs for 7 months. Then, on March 5, 2011 the Permissive Calling Period ends and the 10 digit dialing will be required to make all calls within the 918 area. April 1, 2011 the new 539 area code numbers will be made available. Customers may still ask for and receive a 918 number if they are still available. The Fourth Quarter of 2012 is the Predicted exhaust period of 918 numbers. Dates are an estimate, subject to change.
