We're forging ahead with new services, new sites
It's been a busy summer at Our Family Services, and our July 1 merger with New Beginnings was just the start.
In July, our Counseling department started up two new programs to protect children and help families grow stronger together. Supervised Parenting is a safe and supportive way for children to spend time with their noncustodial parents and relatives. Parent Aide provides in-home coaching and mentoring for parents referred by Child Protective Services, as well as supervised visitation and transportation for children to counseling and other appointments that they need.
In addition, our Senior Companion Program, which partners with other community organizations serving seniors in need, has opened its 15th station. This one is at Valley Assistance Services in Green Valley, and it fulfills our program's long-held dream to offer much-needed companionship and respite services in that community. The agency is also gearing up for this year's upcoming holiday events, our 24th Annual Poinsettia Sale and our Holiday Gift Tree. Please read more about those two events -- and how you can help -- on our website.

Angel Charity for Children is holding a number of fundraising events this year to help Our Family build a new 20-bed Reunion House shelter for homeless children ages 12-17.
