Meaningful conversations are our specialty!

There's a whole lot going on at Our Family Services' new Center for Community Dialogue ....

  • The Center's Interim Leadership Council has been focused on defining its role, responsibilities and composition.
  • We just conducted two highly rated Circle Process Level 1 trainings. This entry-level course teaches the basics of the circle process and prepares participants to lead conversation circles.
  • The Circles process has been integrated into two recent public forums in Tucson: the Foothills Democratic Forum, and the Youth and Peace Conference. Our dedicated corps of volunteers helped more than 100 community members engage in meaningful conversation around economic issues and bullying. Thanks to the 25+ volunteer Circle Facilitators who supported the small group discussions at both events.
  • A new arrangement with Pima Animal Care has dramatically increased our mediation caseload. Many thanks to the mediation volunteers who are doing case development to help meet the needs of neighbors in dispute over animal noise complaints.

Upcoming activities:

  • Eldercare Mediation Training: May 10-13
  • Elder Circle Facilitator Training: May 25
  • Basic Mediation Training: June 21-23 and 28-30
  • ToP Facilitation Methods Training: August 23-24
