Basic training for social services professionals

  

Our Family logoOur Family's C.O.R.E. (Comprehensive Orientation & Required Education) is a 27-hour course for all levels of workers in the behavioral and social services. It covers social issues such as homelessness, violence, addiction, domestic violence, child/elder abuse and LGBT awareness. It also includes training in communications skills, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, ethics, boundaries, confidentiality, HIPAA, suicide assessment/intervention and risk management.

 

The curriculum is appropriate for employees working in both for-profit and nonprofit agencies. It may be taken in its entirety, or you may choose the topics you need. The next C.O.R.E. trainings will be held June 1, 8, 16 and 23 at Our Family's offices at 3830 E. Bellevue St.
