Our Family's next 40-Hour Mediation Training course begins on September 22. The class will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 22, 23, 24, 30 and Oct. 1 at the Randolph Golf Course Club House Copper Room, 600 S. Alvernon Way. Participants must attend all five days to receive a certificate of completion.

There are no prerequisites for the class, which is open to adults 21 and over. Class fee is $325 if registered by Sept. 15; $400 after Sept. 14.

 
The course prepares participants to mediate a variety of workplace, community and personal conflicts and is required for anyone interested in working as a mediation volunteer with Our Family. It's also an excellent skill for people involved in neighborhood groups and community organizations, or for human resources and customer service professionals.
