our family mastheadOur Family helping seniors stay independent longer

Pima County has one of the fastest growing senior populations in the country. In addition, many of our older neighbors left behind families and support networks when they relocated here. Nearly 30% of seniors in this part of the country live alone.

As funds for public assistance continue to shrink, Our Family is hoping to fill the breach by offering a range of affordable, private-pay services under our Private Care Options program.

Services range from grocery shopping to comprehensive care planning and ongoing case-management visits. (Pictured here is our shopper Michaelette Mortensen shopping for five clients at once!)

Do you have an older or disabled relative you can't care for every day? Are you unsure what's best for your aging parent? Find out more about Private Care Options. Your loved one's care, and your peace of mind, are well worth it.
Rotary Trail Ride
to benefit seniors

Tucson Sunrise Rotary has chosen Our Family as the primary beneficiary for its 18th annual Los Vaqueros de la Tierra Trail Ride to be held April 22-25, 2010.

The trail ride will benefit Our Family's services to older and disabled adults, including our Senior Companion program.

You're going to eat anyway, right?

Turn your dining dollars into a donation to help the Our Family programs that mean so much to this community.

You can support Our Family through the "Philanthropy with Phlavor" program this month at Pastiche Modern Eatery. Just choose Our Family from the list of nonprofits that arrives with your check, and 5% of your bill will be donated to us.

If you shop at Bashas', 1% of every grocery purchase can be donated to us (up to $5,000) through the store's Shop & Give program, which runs through April 2010.

Just link your Bashas' Thank You Card to Our Family. Our Family's organization ID is 29400.

Thanks for helping us, and bon appetit!

our family mastheadTXT 4 Help connects young people to vital services

Our Family's locations display the Safe Place sign, which means we are a place runaway or homeless youth can be connected to immediate help, safety and support services. Our Reunion House is also an emergency youth shelter.

National Safe Place has launched a new TXT 4 Help project to help teens connect to a Safe Place location, wherever they are.

Here's how it works: Youth in crisis can text the word SAFE and their current location to the number 69866 and they will receive an address of the nearest Safe Place site and contact number for the local youth shelter.

More young people are on the streets this year. Please give what you can to help Our Family's programs that help young people with no place to call home.
