Alicia Mutch, ABWA Chapter PresidentABWA - The Benefits of Membership
Happy New Year and welcome to January! We are continuing our exploration into the benefits and drawbacks of remaining as a chapter of ABWA by bringing Debbie Shadaram, the Vice President of ABWA District VI, to our January meeting. This presentation will be perfect for returning members as well as prospective members as we take a more in-depth look at ABWA as a tool for your business and personal success. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers at the meeting, so bring your questions with you and prepare to be inspired!

ABWA and WIN -- What In It For Me? The Benefits of Membership

If you've been trying to decide whether or not to join or rejoin ABWA, and wondering how your local and national dues will benefit you as an ABWA member, this meeting is for you! Our guest speaker for the month is Debbie Shadaram, the Vice President of ABWA District VI. She will
be giving us an in-depth presentation on the benefits  and advantages of ABWA membership, as well as training us in the Women's Instructional Network (WIN), the all-new business  networking site for ABWA members and chapters all over the country. At the end of the meeting, all of us will have a broader picture of the scope of ABWA as a national organization as well as the knowledge of how membership will help enhance our businesses, careers, and personal lives.

Debbie holds a B.S. in Accounting as well as an Masters in Business Administration. She has worked in the Banking, Rent A Car, Manufacturing, Distribution, Insurance, and Retail industries in her career. Inspiring Women Scholarship Fundraiser
January is here and we are moving full steam ahead to create our Inspiring Women Scholarship Fundraiser. Since last year worked so well, we plan to have another raffle this year, along with a food and wine event like last year's Moxie & Marvels. Last year, we raised $10,800 for scholarships for women at the Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State, and our event was sold out! This year's venue is still to be determined by the Fundraiser committee. If you are interested in being on this year's Fundraising Committee, please join us for a planning meeting on Thursday, January 14th at 6pm at Jen Stark's home. Please email Jen Stark to confirm your attendance.
