Message from the President
 Moxie & Marvels -- The Fundraiser IssueOn April 21st, our chapter will be holding its annual Inspiring Women Scholarship Fundraiser. We are raising money for scholarships to award to women at Sonoma State University and the Santa Rosa Junior College. Since 2003, our chapter has raised over $65,000, and with the discontinuation of the Doyle scholarships this year, our efforts are even more important to make a difference in the lives of some very deserving women. This is our big event of the year, and we welcome all current and past ABWA members as well as members of our community to join us for what's shaping up to be a very marvelous evening!  Moxie - Slang. 1. vigor; pep. 2. courage or nerve. Marvel - 1. a person or thing that arouses wonder, admiration, or astonishment  Please join us at the Healdsburg Bar & Grill on April 21st. The festivities begin at 6pm, and for your $35 entry ticket, you get wine from our sponsor wineries (including
Stark Wine, Bella Vineyards & Wine Caves, Verge Wine, Harvest Moon, Emtu Estate Wines and Camellia Cellars), food delights from the Healdsburg Bar & Grill, and entertainment that includes an amazing palm reader, a fantastical magician, wondrous belly dancers, a mischievous clown, and incredible vocal feats. Our event includes a silent and a live auction with many wonderful prizes from our generous ABWA members and local businesses. And of course, we are also selling raffle tickets for our over-the-top grand prize of a 100-bottle premium wine library with a 35-bottle capacity refrigerated wine chiller. Inspiring Women (and Men) on Tuesday, April 21
What: Moxie & Marvels, the Inspiring Women Scholarship Fundraiser When: Tuesday, April 21, 6-9pm Where: Healdsburg Bar & Grill
Ticket information: Event tickets are $35, and are available at Copperfield's (all locations), Halem & Co., Mr. Moon's and Arboretum. This event may sell out, so get your tickets early!   Win a wine cellar!Raffle tickets are $20 each and only 500 will be sold. The grand prize is a 100 bottle premium wine library with a 35-bottle capacity refrigerated wine chiller (valued at over $4,000). We will also have runner-up prizes. If we sell all 500 raffle tickets, we will raise $10,000 for scholarships. I know it's a lot more difficult to part with $20 than it was last year, but every $20 makes that much more of a difference to women in our community. Let's keep selling those tickets!
