Our Monthly Raffle

Every month, our monthly raffle keeps our nonprofit organization running by earning money for the general fund. The raffle is fun and easy, and any and all raffle prizes are welcome! You could donate a product or service from your company, or it could be something else, like a plant, a bottle of wine, or a box of chocolates. We appreciate all of your contributions. They really make a huge difference to keep our organization going. Contact Audrey Gondoli to donate a raffle item for our next meeting.

Alicia Mutch, ABWA Chapter PresidentMentoring -- the Gift that Keeps on Giving
Every month, I reread the mission statement of ABWA and ask myself, "What else can I be doing to help the women in this organization grow personally and professionally?" I think that this question is useful as we approach our annual mentor meeting this month. Ask yourself, "Who in my life has helped me grow personally and professionally?" and if you've never had a chance to acknowledge them for the contribution they made to your life, now is your opportunity. They could be a former teacher, or employer, co-worker, spouse, friend, sibling, or parent.

When I graduated from UC Davis in 1995, I briefly went into the environmental consulting field. My mentor was the vice president of the company, and he gave me positive feedback and encouragement that I will never forget. I have no idea what happened to him, but from his encouragement I started my own company that designed databases, and now I run my own wellness company. Without his mentoring, I would still be an employee rather than a business owner, and my life would look very different. If you can, take the time to acknowledge the people who have really made a difference in your life, and pay it forward to the next generation. Never underestimate the power that you have to touch another life.

See you soon!

-Alicia Mutch

Next Meeting on March 17
Our next dinner meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at the Fountaingrove Golf and Athletic Club in the clubhouse at the top of the hill. The address of the club is 1525 Fountaingrove Parkway in Santa Rosa. We will be networking from 6:30 to 7:00, and our dinner meeting begins at 7:00. All members and guests are welcome. Members who bring a guest receive $5 off the cost of their dinner.

Our March meeting is our annual mentor meeting, so please bring a guest with you whom you would like to acknowledge for the role they have played in your life. Now is your opportunity to personally thank your mentor and to inspire our group for what is possible when we step outside ourselves to help another person.

Please bring your marketing materials with you to display at the marketing table and network, network, network. Our dinner meetings are a great way to shamelessly promote your business. You can also use the monthly raffle to promote yourself.

Please bring a bottle of wine with you to share with your table. Wine is also available for purchase from the club.

The price of the dinner meeting is $37.50 for members and $42.50 for guests. Members who bring a guest with them get a $5 discount on their dinners. Reservations are required by noon on Friday, March 13 so that Judith can tell the chef how many meals to prepare for us. We love early RSVPs!
Scholarship Fundraiser Update
Our annual Inspiring Women's Scholarship Fundraiser, Moxie & Marvels, will be on Tuesday, April 21 from 6-9 pm at the Healdsburg Bar & Grill. We have confirmed several entertainers including a magician, musicians, a clown, MoonDancer Middle Eastern Dance Troupe and Music with Melany Huston, among others. We have also confirmed several wineries for the wine tasting portion of the event, including Bella Vineyards & Wine Caves, Harvest Moon, Stark Wine and Verge Wine. We are still looking for merchandise and services for the Silent and Live Auctions. To contribute, please contact Alicia Mutch or Lucy Lewand.

Most importantly, please sell those raffle and event tickets! Selling all 500 raffle tickets brings in $10,000 that goes directly to the scholarships. We know you can do it ladies, so please - sell, sell, sell!

If you need additional event or raffle tickets before our next meeting please email me, Jen Stark, and I will mail them to you. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
