Our Monthly Raffle
Every month, our monthly raffle keeps our nonprofit organization running by earning money for the general fund. The raffle is fun and easy, and any and all raffle prizes are welcome! You could donate a product or service from your company, or it could be something else, like a plant, a bottle of wine, or a box of chocolates. We appreciate all of your contributions. They really make a huge difference to keep our organization going. Contact Audrey Gondoli to donate a raffle item for our next meeting.

Message from the President
Happy October! We're gearing up for our October meeting next week, and Judith Light is getting some wonderful decorations for the tables. I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed the kickoff meeting in September. The food was fantastic, and I can't wait to find out what the "chef's choice" will be this month for my dinner selection. I would love to keep this momentum going and encourage all of the ABWA members to support each other in business in these crazy economic times we seem to be living in. At the next meeting, please be prepared to stand up and give a one-minute presentation about yourself and your business to the group. We will be drawing for two 3-minute spotlights, so if you're interested in making a presentation next week, come with your presentation materials ready for action! Inspiring Women Scholarship FundraiserWe are also going to begin to plan our Inspiring Women Scholarship Fundraiser that will happen in April. Jen Stark of Stark Wine has agreed to chair the committee and will be leading the discussion. Please bring your ideas and feedback to the meeting. The Fundraiser is a group effort, and I would like to get an idea of how our group would like to approach the Fundraiser this year and how much participation our membership will be able to put into the event. Remember, this Fundraiser is an ever-evolving event. If ABWA can raise money for scholarships for very deserving women in spite of our economic times and without putting an excessive financial burden on our membership, then let's go for it! Membership Drive ReminderOur membership drive goal is to raise our membership to 60 members by June, which will be very easy if each ABWA member brings in one new member to the group this year. Simple, right? Tell your friends and business associates about us, and invite them to the next meeting. All women are welcome! See you soon! -Alicia Mutch

Next Meeting on October 21
Our next dinner meeting will be on Tuesday, October 21 at the Fountaingrove Golf and Athletic Club in the clubhouse at the top of the hill. The address of the club is 1525 Fountaingrove Parkway in Santa Rosa. We will be networking from 6:30 to 7:00, and our dinner meeting begins at 7:00. All members and guests are welcome. Gisela Smith is our guest speaker for the month. She is a Professional Life Coach, and the title of her presentation is: "The Power of You: How to Create the Life You Have Always Desired."
Bring your marketing materials with you to display at the marketing table. Our dinner meetings are a great way to shamelessly promote your business. You can also use the monthly raffle to promote yourself. Please bring a bottle of wine with you to share with your table. Wine is also available for purchase from the club. The price of the dinner meeting is $37.50 for members and $42.50 for guests. Reservations are required by noon on Friday, October 17th. The cost of the meeting if you RSVP after the deadline is $42.50 for members and $47.50 for non-members. Please help us keep our costs down as a nonprofit organization by RSVPing early for yourself and your guests. Click here to RSVP for our October meeting.
