Greetings!

Greetings!

At the same time we find ourselves driving deeper into our work, we also find our relationship deepening. The key, it seems, is faith.

The work is not getting easier although the road seems less rocky somehow. We think it has something to do with keeping our focus only on Now - only on what's important.
Work

Work in progressEach day is an adventure. We never know who will show up in today's chapter or what miracle will unfold. Roger's work gets more challenging as the changes Verde Valley Caregivers is making multiply and interact. It seems everyone is spread way too thin. But somehow, at the end of each day, at the end of each week, the most important work got done.

Roger has also stepped into the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for Verde Food Council - another organization on the move.  He's got this gnawing idea about engaging people with gardens across the region and it won't go away!

Joyce feels like she's really "in business" more than ever. New clients continue to appear as she focuses more on e-newsletters, while the number of WordPress coaching clients is blossoming too. Old clients keep coming back and the referrals are growing. She's struggling to manage her week to make sure everyone gets the attention they deserve. And, of course, to include her various volunteer work, and Divine Feminine time with her soul sisters.

What's fun about all of this is making a difference - and connecting with people we care about. It's just a bonus that we both love the work we're doing!

This Nutty World

We've shared a couple interesting adventures this past month. No matter how strange the terrain around the next bend, we're learning to take everything in stride - with laughter and wonder.

Phoenix highway signOn a recent trip to Phoenix, we found ourselves tested a bit. Within ten minutes of launch, we learned the highway was closed 33 miles ahead. With us both seeking Guidance - and checking 511 for updates (not!) - we used our best mapping skills to figure out a  detour route. No, we don't have GPS (unless you mean God Powered System). It's about 110 miles from our home to Phoenix; at one point, we had driven 110 miles and came across a sign that said "Phoenix 110 miles." We slowed through heavy rain, then slowed again through mountain snow and fog. 110 miles takes a long time at 20 miles-per-hour!

When we finally arrived, we cruised in on Grand Avenue. Anyone who knows Phoenix will have a good laugh at this - it's about the slowest possible route. The night before, Joyce was highlighting a very old map of Phoenix, connecting the dotted lines where freeways now run. Rog asked her why she was bothering with Grand Avenue - we would Never Go That Way! Well, it did enable us to make a beloved Trader Joe run in Glendale, a stop we hadn't figured out how we were going to fit in. There surely is a blessing in everything!

Our two most important appointments were cancelled. But through it all, we just kept our eyes on the road ahead, laughing about the absurdity of what we were experiencing, knowing we were in the best of hands.

The rest of our Phoenix errands went smoothly, although we managed to drive by a Costco three times without seeing it!

Stuff

After shedding muchos stuff, we're shopping again. It feels very strange. This time, we're targeting furniture to fill in the blanks at our new home. We've been living out of boxes for awhile now - it really is nice to put clothes in a chest of drawers! Treasure mapAnd, we now have a love seat so we can actually sit next to each other (and even hold hands) - just in time for Valentine's Day - what a treat!

What's interesting is that, as we follow our intuition around town, we end up bumping into people we know and love AND finding terrific deals on just the right pieces. It's like a treasure hunt without a map. We just follow Guidance and see what shows up. Every time we land somewhere, we wonder what's here for us today.

It's fun living life without a plan!

In the middle of lots of work and weekend shopping, we're able to take care of our selves and our relationship. As we grow in intimacy with Spirit, we grow in intimacy with each other.

And, when that happens, the world seems a friendlier, more welcoming place. We're glad you're in our world!
