Las Tangaras RainforestSuccess for Tangaras rainforest matching appeal!
In December, two of WLT-US's generous supporters Robert Giles and Frank Kling joined forces to match donations made to purchase lands in the threatened Las Tangaras rainforest in northwestern Colombia. Many generous donors responded and together with the match donated $535,000 that will buy and save 5,500 acres of rainforest. Read more.

Villa CarmenWLT-US helps partners buy 7,500-acre property in Peru 
Our ability to respond quickly allowed us to provide initial support to the Amazon Conservation Association to catalyze its purchase of Villa Carmen - a spectacular property within the 4.7 million-acre Manu Biosphere Reserve in Peru. The property is in one of the most biodiverse transects on Earth with several newly described species, and will be protected as a private conservation area. Read more.
