WLT-US helps save 1 million acres
We are proud to have helped establish the Matsés National Reserve that was designated by the Peruvian government to protect 1,039,390 acres of pristine Amazonian rainforest and is home to the Matsés indigenous people. Read more.
Magdalena rainforest: 3,356 acres saved
We have supported our Colombian partner ProAves to acquire 3,356 acres of lowland rainforest from loggers. This reserve protects some of the rarest birds and monkey species on earth in the endangered Magdalena Valley. Read more.
Ambassadors launch new lodge in Ecuador
The Jocotoco Foundation officially opened its ecolodge at Jorupe Reserve in the presence of the US and UK Ambassadors to Ecuador. This attractive lodge will help sustain the reserve management costs to protect this critically endangered Tumbesian dry forest. Read more.
Saving the White-footed Tamarin
