The Inner Mind

Garry's Model of the Mind Look at the column to your left and down. You can see the Conscious Mind, Awareness and the Inner Mind with each parts. The Conscious mind usually dominates awareness. Most people usually work while in their Conscious mind. Athletes train their Inner Mind during practice and then compete while in their Inner Mind.
The Inner Mind is usually in the back and not in awareness. When you hear a song on the radio from your young days that you really liked fond memories come up from your Inner Mind into awareness. Habits from your Inner Mind take over most of your life. Anger or love can boil up at any time.
When you feel doubts, cravings, anger they are coming from your Inner Mind and go into awareness. When you feel love, joy, strength they are coming from your Inner Mind and go into awareness where you can feel them.
What we want is to amplify the good stuff like love and joy and let go of the bad stuff. We want to achieve goals, have a great family life and job. We want to be happy. I believe the Conscious mind should be in charge. The Director using self hypnosis willpower should take charge of the Inner Mind. Not control it but take charge. It needs to give direction to the Inner Mind so that we get more of the good stuff and less of the bad stuff. We will then be happier.
