The Inner Mind
How do you feel when doubts come into your awareness? What do you do to get rid of them? These doubts usually are coming from your Inner Mind. To get rid of these doubts we need to learn about the Inner Mind so we can start getting confidence, inspiration and strength instead. The Inner Mind is sometimes called the subconscious.
A baby has a conscious mind in its awareness and an unconscious mind not in awareness. The unconscious contains the deep programming and is unknown at present. As this child grows up with school, experiences, habits. It becomes too big for awareness and splits into the conscious and inner mind. This happens slowly. The conscious containing critical thinking usually dominates. The inner mind comes into awareness often when angry, daydreaming, having fun, sports etc.

How the Inner Mind Thinks: The inner mind lacks critical thinking. This means it can not tell what is true or false. It can easily accept ideas and beliefs that are false. Such as "I can't lose weight" when it can be done.
The inner mind is made up up positive and negative (painful) memories, emotions, habits etc. built up over a lifetime. In a specific area if the ++++'s are stronger, they will send you strength, peace, confidence, answers, ideas, inspiration.
If the ------'s are stronger they will bring doubts, tiredness, desires, confusion "I want" anger, bad memories. Nobody wants this. What are these negatives and where did they come from? Past failures, stress, anger, work, family, health issues and childhood experiences are a few.

happyYOUunhappy Let's look at weight loss. If the positives are stronger you will be inspired to eat less and will want to exercise more. If you have a desire to eat sweets you will shrug it off easily. You will lose weight. If the negatives are stronger you will get repeated messages to eat a candy bar, to overeat at dinner and to skip your workout. You can still lose weight but it will be a constant struggle. The Inner Mind can be our enemy or our partner. The conscious mind needs to learn how it works and how to use self hypnosis so it will be our partner. Self hypnosis is advanced willpower.
