You Know What You Should Eat, But Why Can't You Seem Make Yourself Eat Healthy?

 
I'll tell you why... LACK OF PLANNING!!!
 
The alarm goes off and your day begins. You shower, brush your teeth,Sneek food grab a coffee and you're out the door. After a quick stop at the deli for a bagel and another coffee, you're at work.
 
At the office you become so engrossed in everything you have to accomplish for the day, before you know it's 3:00 and you realize that you've had nothing to eat besides half of your bagel, some M&M's from the receptionist's desk and that Altoid you popped before your 11:00 appointment.
 
By the time you get home you're exhausted and starving; you don't have the energy to cook so you dial up Domino's and munch on a block of cheddar while you wait.
 
As you're wrapping up the last slice to put in the fridge (at least you didn't eat the entire thing), you wonder why you don't have the stamina and pizzazz you had when you were younger. You know, back when your mom would feed you eggs and fruit for breakfast and you'd have a nutritious lunch at noon with your classmates and then a balanced, home-cooked meal at dinner. 
 
Are you picking up what I'm putting down? 
 
Here's the thing: you know you need food. You need it today, you'll need it tomorrow, you'll need it the day after - so, why not plan ahead? What you eat and how you fuel your body is directly related to how your system performs and how you feel on a day-to-day basis.
 
You can take the steps to ensure that you actually ingest the vitamins and nutrients your body needs by just taking a little time to prepare. Take the time to grocery shop to make sure that you have nutritious food on hand.
 
It's much easier to eat a healthy superfood smoothie for breakfast when the ingredients are in your kitchen.
 
Having a bag of almonds in your bag for a snack will keep you out of the receptionist's candy jar. Use some of your weekend time to plan your dinners for the week ahead. Find easy, nutritious recipes that are quick to make so that you don't fall into the takeout trap at night. Then make extra so that you can take the leftovers in for lunch.
 
The #1 thing a person can do to improve her health and accelerate weight loss is to plan ahead and make time to create home-prepared foods.
 
When you don't make a plan for eating, it becomes really easy to fall into bad habits and choices. Letting oneself starve all day makes a quick trip through the drive-thru on your way home seem reasonable. Develop a healthy routine around your meals.
 
Break out of the bad nutrition patterns you've created and respect your system by providing it with the vitamins and nutrients it needs to work. You'll optimize your energy, increase your health and you just may find that those nagging ten pounds fall off with almost no effort. You can do it; you just have to take a little time to think ahead.

WANTED: Part-Time Administrative Assistant Wiz:

Do you live on the Westside in LA? We're seeking an extremely reliable and dedicated admin assistant to work in our office here in Santa Monica.
 
The person I'm looking for is a self-starter with an independent demeanor (because you'll primarily be working alone) and extremely organized. You will be given a list of daily tasks each day you work and will be responsible for taking the lead in ensuring they are accomplished on time with little to no supervision.
 
Tasks will include but not limited to: Run home office errands, filing, mailing packages, internet research, QuickBooks entry. Must have professional written and verbal skills, be able to follow directions and work independently.
 
You must also be a self-starter, hard working person who has exceptional knowledge of computers, and a positive, do whatever it takes attitude. This role is needed 2-3 days a week totaling 15-20 hours. Must have your own car and proof of insurance. Candidates must live within a 30 mile radius of Santa Monica.
