Greetings!
We had quite a scare in Costa Rica!
My fiance, Nat, and I just
got back from a trip to Costa Rica for
my friend's wedding.
It was gorgeous, and we had a great time, but towards
the end of the trip, about 9 of us went
out to a beautiful waterfall with a local man who showed us how and where to
jump into the water.
Nat made the 15 foot jump, but unfortunately, the back current pulled him under
the waterfall where he got stuck in the cycling water, and couldn't
fight his way out. After a couple of
minutes (though it seemed like an eternity), his body gave out and he dropped
out of the cycle of the waterfall, and he floated to the top where our friend Brennand could grab him.
We ran to the local hospital and everything checked out okay, but it was a very frightening experience for
all of us. Water is so beautiful,
but as my friend Bridget was just saying minutes before the accident, it really
is "one of the most ferocious forces of nature".
I was really reminded me that the people we
love can be gone in an instant - so treasure every moment you have together!
In love and service,
~Rose

"Weight Loss With Healthy
CHOCOLATE?!"
The pic here to the right is Raw Cacao -
chocolate in its most raw form. There's no dairy added, no sugar added,
no preservatives, and it hasn't been cooked or heat treated to destroy all the
precious enzymes.
The cacao plant is the source of all cocoa and
chocolate products, and Raw Cacao is just what it sounds like - the beans of
the plant without all the extra junk. Chocolate in its natural state is
actually a superfood, and it's literally one of the most nutritious foods you
can eat.
Raw Cacao has been enjoyed by many cultures in Central & South America for
thousands of years because it is not only tasty but is full of healthy
antioxidants and minerals. In fact, it has over 25,000 antioxidants in
just ONE tablespoon, and 7 grams of fiber per
ounce!
It's also a super source of:
- Flavanols - which are necessary for a heart-healthy
lifestyle.
- Polyphenols - may reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease and cancer.
- Magnesium - low of levels of magnesium are linked to
migraines, asthma, allergies, fibromyalgia, anxiety disorders, and ADD
- Fiber - A high-fiber diet may reduce your risk of
colon cancer, type-2 Diabetes, and many other health issues.
And ALL of these amazing nutrients actually helps you loss weight!
That's right, chocolate is ACTUALLY a health food, when it's in its natural
state.
So you're probably asking yourself "but how does it taste?". Well,
I make tons of tasty recipes with raw cacoa, which comes in a few different
forms. Cacoa nibs (shown in the pic) is great all by it's self, or in
trail mixes and recipes, and cacao powder (my personal fav) is awesome for
smoothies or prepared with all-natural sweeteners like in my Superfood
Candy Recipe (Get The Recipe).
Raw Cacao is starting to show up everywhere, so you're going to start seeing it
more and more. Check out www.TrySunFoods.com to find my favorite Raw Cacao
products. They carry Cacao nibs, and lots of protein bars and treats made
with raw chocolate, but their Raw Cacao powder is AWAZING, and that's the one I
use in my candy recipe above.

Herb Mashed Non-Taters
Serves 3-4
This side dish is super tasty, and its "raw" so it has
all of it's enzymes so it's healthy too!
Ingredients:
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup pine nuts, unsoaked
 cup macadamia nuts, unsoaked
3 tablespoons Raw Virgin Olive Oil (www.TrySunFoods.com)
1 tablespoons Italian seasoning
 tablespoon garlic, minced
 teaspoon Celtic salt (www.TryVRP.com)
Fresh ground pepper to taste
Directions:
Process in www.TheVitamixBlender.com
until all ingredients are smooth. Add a little water if needed to achieve
consistency. The cauliflower can be cooked before blending, and then reheated
