Youth Super Sports-trained coaches focus on fundamental skills, good sportsmanship, fitness skills, and character development.  Fitness concepts include wellness for the heart, lungs, and muscles, safe play, flexibility, and healthy eating.  Rookies through Winners Levels progress by developing individual skills and adding more skills and rules.

On your mark, get set and join us for the 2012 Crab Race at Market Days.  Sponsor a crab or race with us!  Sponsorship levels are $75 and up; forms are available at the Y.  Racing is free for everyone.  Proceeds benefit the YMCA Strong Communities campaign which provides opportunities for youth develpment and healthy living for all, regardless of financial ability.

The Mathews Teen Leaders Club is launching our very own Teen Mission Camp!  We only have four days and we need you!  The first two day teens will roll up their sleeves to renovate space at the Cake Man for Y teen activities and events.  The last two days we will be giving the pre-school room at Redeeming Grace Baptist a facelift, as we often use this space for Y pre-school programming.  Come be part of the solution!
