Repaved with Bike Lanes Added

Work on repaving and widening of the Blue Star Highway is underway. The project will widen the sholders and pave a bike lane on each side of the roadway from South Haven to the Berrien County line.

The Blue Star has been a favorite route for cyclists. Because of the relatively narrow roadway, the hills and curves, conditions have been treacherous for both cyclist and automobiles. The project should increase safety for all users and moves up by one year the schedules repaving
Our Apology

This issue of our email newsletter is fairly thin on news. Your editor/writer has undergone successful surgery for removal of a malignant tumor in the upper left lobe of his lungs. I am glad to report there was no metastasis and no follow-up therapy is required. Though I am still in convalescence, there should be no excuses for the next newsletter.
