Greetings!

In Luke 10:36 (NIV) Jesus concluded His story with a question to those listening... "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The only correct answer, of course, was the one who had shown mercy to the man in need. Jesus then said, "Go and do likewise" (v.37).

In the month of March, we are spotlighting the ministry of our First Impressions Team. These men and women faithfully serve others by "Creating an atmosphere of warmth and personal welcome; providing a "safe" environment for people to take their next step toward Jesus Christ."

I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone in our church family when I say thank you to those individuals who serve each week as greeters, ushers, atrium hostesses, and building services providers. If you are not currently serving in a particular ministry at Fellowship of Montgomery, let me encourage you to join one of these teams or other ministry teams that are forming.

When you think about Jesus' story of the Samaritan serving another, all of our excuses really fade away. The Samaritan risked his life. We are just asking you to risk having fun. The Samaritan gave up a portion of his money in serving the injured man. We are just asking you to give up a few minutes of sleep to serve others.

You can join the First Impressions Team (FIT) at any point during the month of March, but let me encourage you not to put it off. Click here to visit our website and explore a brief overview of the opportunities for serving in this ministry.  You can send us an email to info@fellowshipofmontgomery.net regarding FIT, and we will contact you regarding training and getting started.  I hope you'll seriously and prayerfully consider how you can help others by creating a welcoming environment for people to take their next steps toward faith in Jesus Christ.

We are blessed to be a blessing!

Love and Respect in a Life Group Setting

Discover the Single Greatest Secret to a Successful Marriage

Psychological studies affirm it, and the Bible has been saying it for ages. Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find.

Today, you and your mate can start fresh with the ground-breaking guidance that Dr. Emerson Eggerichs provides. His revolutionary message, featured on Focus on the Family, is for anyone: in marital crisis...wanting to stay happily married...who's feeling lonely. It's for engaged couples...victims of affairs...pastors and counselors seeking material that can save a marriage.

Using Dr. Eggerich's breakthrough techniques, couples nationwide are achieving a brand-new level of intimacy and learning how to: - stop the Crazy Cycle of conflict - initiate the Energizing Cycle of change - enjoy the Rewarded Cycle of new passion

And if you'll take this biblically based counsel to heart, your marriage could be next!  If you are interested in joining in this study in a Life Group study, please contact Linda and Jeff Roberson at 936.333.9307 or lindaroberson6@gmail.com

Life Groups

Life Groups are not simply a Bible study, they are so much more.  At Life Group meetings, we hang out, get to know each other, worship God, study His Word, and then we DO his work!  At Fellowship of Montgomery, we are doers of God's Word and not just hearers.  So, join a Life Group today.

For more information please email Brian Roberson at brian@fellowshipofmontgomery.net, or you can also fill out our online form at this link and a Life Group leader will be in contact with you.

FM Worship Ministry

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:5-6

Is your trust in the right place?  Are you leaning on God for EVERYTHING?  Are you worshipping the Lord in all you do?

Remember, worship is not just the musical act of acknowledging our Lord and Savior. BUT, hopefully, when you ARE in a musical act of worship you are not holding back, just as you wouldn't hold back in serving God in the church, in the community and in your Bible studies.  Lift your voice, raise your hands, bow your head... whatever the Lord moves you to do.  We want this time to be the best hour of your week!

If there is a song or hymn that moves you, feel open to request it and we will do our best to incorporate it in one of the services and sermon related music.

FM Women's Ministry Bible Study:  FM Women's Ministry will kick off a Bible study this fall titled, More than This, a Study of the Gospel of John.  If you have not already had an opportunity to complete a survey for us, please pick one up in the foyer so that we can make plans according to your needs.  We are excited about the opportunity to unite as sisters in Christ in a small group setting as we experience God together and grow in our faith!

The Bible study addresses our questions, "Is this all there is - going through the motions and feeling overwhelmed with obstacles and circumstances in our lives.  Do you feel stuck and exhausted with all that life is bringing to you?  Jesus has promised us full and abundant life both now and in eternity.  So, why doesn't life always seem full and abundant?"  Come join us for an exciting time together as we delve into God's Word and discover His truths!  Please see Linda Roberson or Kim Talbert for more information.  We are looking forward to you joining us this fall!

FM Student Ministry

FM Student Update:

Wednesday Nights: After we finish our stud
y about the life of Peter that was started in February, we will be studying God in Search of Man.  "Just like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, we sometimes run away from God. We hide behind our excuses and our sins. We create distance in that relationship.  Yet God doesn't give up. God passionately pursues us, seeking a restored and whole relationship with us." Join us Wednesdays at 6:45 for a time of studying God's Word, fellowship, free food, reflection, group time, and worship.

FM Student Text Group:  We have a new way for parents and students to be updated each week about events and details related to the student ministry.  Text fomyouth to 23559 and create your own unique username.  We would love to keep your informed with this system.

Mountain Camp Meeting:  We will have our initial camp meeting on Sunday, March 18, after the second service.  In this meeting you will receive details about where we are going to camp, camp costs, the band and speaker at camp, and other details.  We invite parents and students to attend this meeting.

Spring Break:  During Spring Break, we will be taking the week off in the Student Ministry on Wednesday night.  But, we will have a couple of fun activites during the week.  On the Tuesday of Spring Break, we will be meeting at McDade Park in Conroe around 10:30a and play frisbee golf.  Following that, we will all head to Whataburger for lunch.  On Wednesday of Spring Break, we will be meeting at the basketball courts in Walden for a fun game of basketball at 3:00p.  We hope to see you there!

The Kove Pre-School Ministry Update:

Nursery: Each Sunday we enjoy providing our littlest ones with a loving and caring environment while parents participate in worship.

Toddlers:   In the toddler area, we get to have a lot of fun as we create a friendly, Christian environment where our kids enjoy singing, snacks, games, and Bible activities.

Pre-K (3-5 yrs): This month in the Kove we will be starting a study called Good News Jr. Wouldn't it be great if there was a news show just for kids? A news show that wasn't the same old boring news that adults watch? A show where we could all learn about Jesus, the story of Easter, and all the exciting things going on in our neighborhood? Well, we have some good news: Good News Jr. is about to go on the air! So turn on the TV, and stay tuned, because it's time for some late-breaking, action-packed, puppet-staffed, Good News!  If you have any questions, please contact Heather Schenk in the nursery on Sunday.

The Wave Children's Ministry
The Wave Update4twelve logo

The Wave (K-3rd):
We have a new exciting series for the next eight weeks that will teach us about Easter called Good News Kids. So join us on set and behind the scenes as we learn about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and how it applies to us today. Along the way we'll need your help to keep bumbling anchors Tim Hunter and Trudy Grapevine from ruining the most important morning news show on the air! So call your cameramen, and check all the microphones, because we're back from commercial in 5...4...3...

We would also like for you to join us on Wednesday nights as we continue to have fun and explore the Bible.  We meet at 6:30 pm in the large room at the west end of our building to enjoy pizza and games with our friends.  At 7:00 pm we move upstairs to The Wave for a fun time of learning about God's Word.

Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration:   It's that wonderful time of year again, where we celebrate the greatest gift we have ever received: our salvation through Christ.  Let us join together to glorify our Lord, and help the children celebrate and understand the meaning of Easter.  We will need everyone's help.  We need your help in getting ready for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and volunteering on that Sunday.

Please bring non-chocolate candies and plastic egg contributions to the collection box in the atrium of the church, over the next several week. We gave out over 3,000 Easter eggs last year,  and we expect to use over 4,000 Easter eggs this year.  Be sure that your candy donations will fit in a typical plastic egg, and thank you so much!

Preteen Camp Meeting:  For those of you that have children in 3rd grade, we will be having a preteen camp meeting on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:40pm in the back building.  In that meeting, the parents will receive information about camp, accommodations, dates, and pricing.  If you have any questions please contact Rockey at rockey@fellowshipofmontgomery.net

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry

The Ride Update:

Preteens (4th - 6th grade)
:  On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, we invite all pre-teeners for fun, games, and learning how to live out God's Word in everyday life.  Come join us for a time of growing your spiritual life while having a great time with your friends.

On Sunday, we are starting a new series called Konnect.  The preteen
group is going on a journey through the Bible. The stories come alive through hands-on projects, crazy games, and fun activities.  For the next several months we will be looking at the stories from Creation through Exodus.  Join us Sundays!

On Wednesdays for the next several months, we will be doing some new curriculum called SuperStart, and this quarter the theme is amazing illusions.  Here is what this theme looks like: Take a trip to an amazing place! Go with Patrick, Samantha, and Eric to The Amazing Kent's Illusion Study as they learn how to do illusions. The Amazing Kent is a great teacher and even arranges for an audience to watch Patrick, Samantha, and Eric perform their illusions. As the cast learns how to do illusions and gets themselves into some wacky situations, students will make some amazing discoveries about their own lives.

Preteen Camp Meeting:  Preteen group and parents, we will be having a preteen camp meeting on
Wednesday, March 7th at 7:40p in the back building.  We invite all parents to attend so you can receive information about camp, accommodations, dates, and pricing.
