Greetings!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read our latest newsletter. I feel it's important for everyone to know about the programs and events of the church so you can serve and grow through your involvement. But I also want to ensure that you are well informed so you can invite your friends, family, and neighbors to worship or participate in one of the activities taking place at the church. So many times, a person's spiritual journey begins with the simple invitation of a caring friend.

I also wanted to follow up with you regarding our missionary couple, Ruben and Nori Mares. They continue to work through details, both here and in Honduras, as they prepare for their relocation to Tegucigalpa in July. Please continue to join me in praying for them. You can learn more about their journey and their ministry by clicking on the following links:

February marks my 3rd year at Fellowship of Montgomery, and this summer will wrap up my 15th year in pastoral ministry. I just have to say that it never grows old seeing God do amazing things in and through the followers of Jesus Christ. You are an awesome church family, and I thank you for the blessing of serving as your pastor. May God's will continue to be done in HIS church!

At Fellowship of Montgomery you are now able to give your tithe and offerings online.  All you have to do is go to our website and click on the E-Giving tab or use this QR Code.  After that, you will be prompted to set up an account to make it more convenient for you to give.

With this new service you will also have the ability to use any form of payment including direct draft from your account on an automatic basis.
In the future, your family will also be able to use this system for youth and children's camp payments, mission trip deposits, and other giving opportunities.
Life Groups

Life Groups are not simply a Bible study, they are so much more.  At Life Group meetings, we hang out, get to know each other, worship God, study His Word, and then we DO his work!  At Fellowship of Montgomery, we are doers of God's Word and not just hearers.  So, join a Life Group today.  For more information please email Brian Roberson at brian@fellowshipofmontgomery.net, or you can also fill out our online form at this link and a Life Group leader will be in contact with you.

I say I love you I say I need you
I try so many ways to say how my heart beats for you
I say I'm always thinking about you
There's no way I'd want to face this life without you
And even though these words come from deep inside me
There's so much more I don't have the words to say
'cause what I really want to say
Is what the sun would say to the sky
For giving it a place to come alive

But my words get in the way
Of what I really want to say

-Steven Curtis Chapman

Do you love the Lord as much as your special someone?  Do you dedicate songs to God on a daily basis like you would for a loved one?  God needs to be first in our lives and I'd like to think He needs to also be first in our musical time as well.  We think of worship as a musical time with God, but we should be worshipping God ALL THE TIME in everything we do.

So I challenge you all this month to listen to a Christian radio station, a Christian Pandora Channel, or even check out a Christian artist in the genre of music you like.  You'd be surprised how there is a "Believing" artist in every type of music.  I'd also like to challenge you to either post on our Facebook page or email me and request a song that is close to your heart or a song that lifted you up that may be appropriate for our worship time together.

Fellowship Outdoor Ministries

Fellowship Outdoor Ministries: This ministry at Fellowship of Montgomery helps people grow together and fellowship through hunting and fishing.  Currently we are studying a Navigators Bible study on Friday mornings at 6:30 a.m at the church entitled Growing Strong in God's Family

Growing Strong in God's Family: This first book in The 2:7 Series is designed to help you build a strong foundation for your Christian life through enriching Bible study, Scripture memory, and group interaction.

With its biblical and practical approach to discipleship, this workbook will yield long-term, life-changing results, such as:

* A closer relationship with God
* A keener sense of priorities
* Renewed concern for non-Christian friends
* A growing camaraderie within your study group

If you would like to know more about this ministry please contact Terry Mann at tmann@elseyagency.com or Matt Wisenbaker at mattw@wisenbaker.com.
Mission New Orleans

God has given us the opportunity for our student ministry to partner with Mission New Orleans.  Whether you are interested in working with impoverished children, helping the homeless, doing light construction, or working with senior adults, we will have an awesome time serving the Lord together.

This trip is open to students, and we will also need adults to help oversee the projects and serve as chaperones.  If you are interested, there is a $50 deposit due to secure your spot.  For further information, please contact Brian at brian@fellowshipofmontogmery.net.

FM Student Update:

Wednesday Nights
:

For the next several weeks in FM Student Ministry, we will be doing our annual Mushy Stuff Series.  This year we will be studying this topic for 3 weeks.  We will be looking at God's plan on intimacy and sex, how our culture infiltrates us with lies, and how to remain pure.  We will also look at what God's standards are on relationships and love.  After we finish this series at the end of the month, we will examine the life of Peter for a few weeks.  We will be talking about how he went from being disloyal, to commissioned, to bold.  Join us Wednesdays at 6:45 for a time of studying God's Word, fellowship, free food, relection group time, and worship.

Breakfast in the Park: On February 25th, we will be involved in Breakfast in the Park for our second time with Compassion United. In this mission activity, we will help serve, feed, and pray for homeless people at Lewis Park in Conroe, and we also will deliver the coats that the students have been collecting on Wednesdays.  Please contact Brian Roberson or sign up on Wednesday if you are interested.

FM Student Text Group:  We have a new way for parents and students to be updated each week for events and updates from the student ministry.  Text fomyouth to 23559 and create you own unique username.  We will stop using the current text system by the end of November; so we would love to keep your informed with this system.

Coats for the Cold Drive
: This is the final month we will be collecting coats to take to those that are homeless in our com
munity. You can drop off coats on Wednesday nights in the drop-off box by the stage.

FM Student Winter Calendar/Newsletter & Parent Page:  Click on this link to see the new calendar/newsletter of all that we will be studying the next few months, calendar of events, and opportunities to get plugged in.  Also, we have a subscription that is free for parent to help you understand youth culture, things that your teen is going through, and other interesting facts.  If you are interested in checking these out, please click on this link!

FM Student Life Groups

We will continue our Student Life Groups through the month of February and then take a break.  Check out our website under the FM Students tab for more details on Life Groups.

The Kove Pre-School Ministry Update:

Nursery: Each Sunday we enjoy providing our littlest ones with a loving and caring environment while parents participate in worship.

Toddlers:   In the toddler area, we get to have a lot of fun as we create a friendly, Christian environment where our kids enjoy singing, snacks, games, and Bible activities.

Pre-K (3-5 yrs): This month in the Kove we will continue the study Under the Big Top Jr. Join Michael and his son, Ethan, at the circus as Michael teaches his son to obey, to share his things, and that he should not complain, along with many other lessons from the Bible. It's time to go Under The Big Top!

The Wave Children's Ministry

The Wave (K-3rd):

This month we will continue to be at the circus!  Come learn about using your gifts alongside Penny Worth at her new job with Percival Von Schnitzell's Big Top Circus! We're heading Under the Big Top to discover the three ring circus of some of the Bible's most interesting characters!

We would also like for you to join us on Wednesday nights as we continue to have fun and explore the Bible.  We meet at 6:30 pm in the large room at the west end of our building to enjoy pizza and games with our friends.  At 7:00 pm we move upstairs to The Wave for a fun time of learning about God's Word.

For you adults who are ready to experience a tremendous blessing, you should check out the possibilities of serving in our Children's Ministry (technical, teaching, and more).  Please contact Rockey at rockey@fellowshipofmontgomery.net, or drop by and see him on Sunday mornings or Wednesdays evenings.

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry

The RideThe Ride Update:

Preteens (4th - 6th grade)
:  On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, we invite all pre-teeners for fun, games, and learning how to live out God's Word in everyday life.  Come join us for a time of growing your spiritual life while having a great time with your friends.

This month we will be studying Force Field.  Students will grasp how living according to God's Truth can actually protect them, like a Force Field, from the negative consequences of making bad choices. They will discover how to strengthen their lives, schools, friendships, cities, families and world. Preteens will also uncover how other people's bad decisions have affected them, so they can get healing and move on. They will be encouraged to go beyond soaking up knowledge, but actually DO SOMETHING about what they are taught. FORCE FIELD is all about helping preteens strengthen their lives and those around them.

Preteens are presented with many choices in life. Friends, the media and a hundred other forces will pull them in all sorts of directions. However, there is protection that comes from living out God's Truth. Launch FORCE FIELD.

If you have any questions or would like to know how to get plugged in, please contact Rockey Butler at rockey@fellowshipofmontgomery.net.
