| Greetings! |
It's here! What is "it" that we are talking about? Well, "it" is FM2 ... One Church; Two Services. For the last month I have been sharing with you the reasons and the plan for moving from one worship service to two, and now the time has arrived. I thank the Lord for what He is doing and the new people that are joining us.
From May to August of this year, Fellowship of Montgomery has grown from averaging 213 to 331 people in attendance. When you consider the need for more space and the amount of time necessary for a building program, it really becomes obvious that transitioning to two services is the best solution at this point in time.
On September 11, we will observe the Lord's Supper, so make sure you are in your place to worship, serve, and fellowship with your family and friends at Fellowship of Montgomery. Our service times will be 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Both times will continue to offer age appropriate fun and Bible teaching programs for children in nursery up through 6th grade.
When I think about where we are as a church and all that God has done, I am reminded of an old hymn that says:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
God has done great things and been so evident in the lives of His people. May He continue to bless you and use His church in a mighty way.
Pastor Dale

| 5th Quarter | |
On September 30th, we are having our second 5th Quarter event of the year! Come to Fellowship of Montgomery after the Varsity football game from 10:00p-12:00a for some great entertainment. Our special guest is Matt Jernigan. An amazing comedy impressionist, Matt hilariously spoofs popular rock, R&B, hip hop, country and pop stars. With just his guitar and incredible talent, he brings everyone from Elvis Presley to Snoop Dogg to the stage. We will also have our Rec. room open for pool, air hockey, video games, foosball, and free pizza. This event is for the entire family. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors, and we will see you there!

| Life Groups |
 Life Groups are not simply a Bible study, they are so much more. At Life Group meetings, we hang out, get to know each other, worship God, study His Word, and then we DO his work! At Fellowship of Montgomery, we are doers of God's Word and not just hearers. So, join a Life Group today. For more information on how to become involved please email our Connection Pastor, John Yeates at john@fellowshipofmontgomery.net, or you can find out more on our website. |

FM Student Update:
Wednesday Nights
This semester, we will be starting a new series called Welcome to the Planet. This study will take us through October. "The teenage years are often times confusing and trying as students try to figure out their reason for existence. This series challenges students to answer the question, "What on earth am I here for?" and then to apply God's biblical purposes to their personal lives. Welcome to the Planet will communicate the importance of God's biblical purposes for their personal lives--evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and worship."
What Would You Do
This was a great game show on Nickelodeon in the 90's. We are bringing this game show to the youth ministry. Each week, the teenagers will be in their semester long teams formed in August which are led by upper classmen. These teams will compete in a series of challenging but fun events to see what they would do in different scenarios and competitions. Be careful though, somebody may end up with a pie in their face!
FM Student Life Groups
At FM Student Ministry, we want to get students invovled in sharing life together and growing their spiritual life together. During the fall and spring semester, we have small groups throughout the week split up by gender and age. These small groups are at different homes and meet different times throughout the week. We study material ranging from topical studies to books of the Bible. This semester, the High School students will meet at the Angelo's home every other Monday night starting September 12th, and the Junior High students will meet at the Tunning's home every other Tuesday night starting September 13th. You can click on the Fall calendar below to see the dates and get maps to the homes from our website under the FM Students tab. At each home, the students will meet at 6p, have 30 minutes of fellowship, and then break up by gender to do a Bible study and prayer time. The groups will end around 8p If you are interested in being invovled, please contact Brian Roberson at brian@fellowshipofmontgomery.net.
Local Mision Project

On September 17, we will be camp counselors for a Saturday camp for inner city children at Gospel Lakes Ranch in New Waverly. We will help love on children as we help them in horseback riding, fishing, archery, face painting, paddle boating, games, and other camp activities. Please sign up on Wednesday if you are interested.

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry

The Ride Update: Preteens (4th - 6th grade)
Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we will continue to explore the Bible and discover applications for creating a Godly life. We will also begin our service project for Montgomery County Youth Services where we will be collecting school supplies and clothing for students in need. This will benefit kids from the age of 10 to 17.
On Wednesday evenings, starting at 6:30, Andy Van and Marissa Scholl invite you to join them for fun, food, games, and the study of living out God's Word in everyday life.
Preteen Camp Recap
Preteen Camp, also known as "God's Amazing Race," at Trinity Pines was truly amazing. There were 74 preteens who took this adventure with 10 faithful sponsors. It was a moving experience to watch these children worship. We were blessed to have 32 committing themselves to Christ and 7 pledging to rededicate their lives to the Lord. We would like to thank all of our volunteers and say a special thank you to our camp directors, Andy Van and Marissa Scholl.
