| From the Pastor |
One of the most commonly used phrases in our culture today has to be, "I've got an app for that on my phone." It seems that you can hardly converse, now days, with your friends about music, maps, or menus without someone pulling out their phone, tapping on an icon, and sticking their phone six inches from your face. For those of you who may not know, the term "app" has been used as shorthand for "application" in the IT community for decades but has now become newly popular because of mobile applications.
What if we were that anxious to share the help our God offers? Imagine having a conversation with a friend and discovering they are struggling with some issue of temptation or they are seeking a new direction in their lives. Would we be just as quick and just as excited about guiding them to the Lord? "God's got an app for that" we'd say, and then we would lovingly share with them meaningful and applicable truth from God's Word.
The Bible says, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right" (2 Tim. 3:16 NLT). Let me encourage you to set aside time each day to read God's Word and pray about how you can apply it to your life. Then as you allow God's Word to enter your mind and work its way out through the "apps" of your life, you'll have more confidence in Christ to communicate and help others through you. Go ahead. Try it. God's got an app for your life and mine.
May the Lord bless you,
Pastor Dale |

| The Kove Pre-School Ministry | |
The Kove Pre-School Ministry:
The Kove: Nursery through Pre-K. This month we will begin our new series "Kingdom Tales Jr" for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. In this series your children will set out on a search for the armor of God.
In each week, they will join Sir Pogo the Knight and Darrin the Daring Donkey, as they search for a new piece of armor and find out what that armor represents in God's Kingdom. |
| The Wave Children's Ministry |
The Wave Update:
The Wave: Kindergarten - Third Grade: We will start our new series called "Kingdom Tales" this month. This eight week series is about developing the noble character God wants us to have. Your children will learn to make choices like standing up for what is right, doing what God wants, making wise choices, and learning from others. They will also learn how to act with kindness, show their faith through action, and to take a risk to help others. Finally, your children will learn to follow Jesus' examples by showing mercy to others. These lessons will be filled with excitement and adventure.
The Wednesday Wave - We would also like for you to join us on Wednesday nights as we continue to learn and explore the Bible. On Wednesday nights, we meet at 6:30 pm in the rear building to enjoy pizza and games with our friends. At 7:00 pm we move upstairs to The Wave to have fun and fellowship with "Zooplosion". Watch the Bible stories, through the eyes of the animals, and see how God always provides.
If you are ready to check out serving as a volunteer (technical, teaching, and other positions are available), please contact Rockey Butler at rockey@fellowshipofmontgomery.net or just drop by and see him. |

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry |
The Ride Update:
The Ride Preteens: 4th - 6th grade - Sunday Mornings. This month in the Ride, we will start our study called "Two Faced." All of us struggle with being real and open. It is so easy to put on one face for one group of friends and another face for another group of friends. Then we lose track to who we really are. We will turn the mirror back , and show the face that matters most. For four weeks, we will be exploring the blessings of living a life that reflects that face of Jesus.
The Ride - On Wednesday evenings, starting at 6:30, Andy Van and Marissa Scholl would enjoy having you for fun, food, games, and an ongoing study called "Wild Truths" about God's Word and its application in your everyday life.
If you have any questions regarding the children's ministry programs or if you are interested in helping and serving, please contact Rockey Butler at rockey@fellowshipofmontgomery.net. We would love to have you be a part of this vibrant and growing ministry.
For all 3rd thru 6th graders, be on the look out, for information concerning summer pre-teen camp. |
