Greetings!

As I write to you each month, one of the unexpected blessings I receive is the opportunity to look back over the previous calendar page and reflect upon God's work in and through His church.  The month of October presented us with opportunities to speak, pray, serve, and share the love and message of Jesus with many new people in our community.  I hope you will take a few moments to visit our website and see the photo highlights from a sampling of these ministry opportunities such as 5th Quarter, Montgomery County Food Bank, Family FUNFest, and the annual Homecoming Bonfire.

This Sunday will be the fourth week in our "Live Without Fear" series.  As we began this new study, we also emphasized the importance of getting involved with one of our LifeGroups.  It was so encouraging to see 64 adults register to participate for six weeks in one of five Bible study groups.  At the present time, we also have two Bible study groups meeting for teenagers which have totaled 34 in attendance.  Combine those statistics with the 122 kindergarten through 12th grade students that are meeting at our facilities on Wednesday evenings and you can understand why we are so humbled and amazed with what God is doing.

For nine months, our staff and members of the Administrative Team have worked diligently to revise the church's bylaws.  On October 5, the Administrative Team approved the Amended Bylaws and proposed submitting the document to the church membership for their approval.  On October 24, a vote of the church was taken and the majority voted to accept the 2010 Amended Bylaws.  If you still have not read through our bylaws, I would invite you to do so by clicking on this link which, for the next few weeks, will take you to our website and a copy of this document.

I want everyone to know how grateful to God I am for the men and women who, in the young life of this church, have given hours upon hours of their lives to prayer, planning, and God's purpose for His church.  Those who have served on our Administrative and Finance Teams since my arrival as pastor have included: Dude, Gayle, Gary, Carl, Kirk, Ish, Jana, Rodney, Cathy, Gay Nell, Dean, Skip, and Ken.  On behalf of a grateful staff and a blessed church family, I thank you for your sacrifice and service unto the Lord!

I hope you will be with us this Sunday for worship and that you'll invite someone to join you.  For all of eternity they'll be glad you did!

May the Lord continue to bless you and bless His church as we Bring People In, Build People Up, and Send People Out in the name of our Savior, Jesus!

The Kove Pre-School Ministry:
The Kove: Nursery through Pre-K.   This month in the Kove, the 3 - 5 year olds will continue their Elevate, Jr. series, "Dr. Tomorrow's Robot Repair Shop."

Next month we will begin our new series "Professor Playtime's Christmas Shop of Wonders."  In this series your children will learn a different facet of the Christmas story as they spend time with Professor Playtime and his assistant, Holly. Guests who visit the shop will learn about the greatest gift of all while finding just what they need.

While learning the story of Jesus' birth and life, Professor Playtime will help your children explore bravery, kindness, obedience, joy, patience, and generosity. If you have any Christmas decorations that you could donate to help us decorate for this upcoming series, please contact Rockey Butler or Christy Hall.

If you would like to help out and serve in this growing area of our church, please contact Christy Hall in the Kove on Sundays.

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry

The Ride
The Ride Update:
The Ride Preteens: 4th - 6th grade - Sunday Mornings.  This month in the Ride, we will be starting a new series "Loosen the Fear Knot."    This is an eight week series aimed at helping students not just cope, but overcome fear in their lives.  We will address some common fears that pre-teens have, such as heights, snakes, spiders, bullies, etc.  Through this series we will use Joshua 1:9 ; "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
On Wednesday evenings, starting at 6:30, Andy Van and Marissa Scholl would enjoy having you for fun, food, games, and a continual study of God's Word and its application in your everyday life.
For the pre-teen, we will be having a family fun night on November 19, at the TobyMac concert.  If your family is interested in going, please contact Rockey Butler for tickets.
