| Greetings! |
Summer is here which means you can count on two things... hot Texas weather and exciting events planned for the Children's and Student Ministries at Fellowship of Montgomery. Be sure to scroll down to each section and read the updates from our incredible team of leaders.
Sunday, June 6, is going to be an exciting day on our campus. First of all, we have the incredible opportunity to worship our God and to seek His guidance in our lives. After that, we also have three gatherings that I want to briefly call your attention to. First, is our Ministry Fair. I would ask each one of you, immediately following the worship service, to walk over to the tables that will line the walls of our worship center. There you will find brief descriptions of specific ministry opportunities at our church. Each ministry will have someone present to give you the information, answer a few questions, and talk about the opportunities to serve within each area. Secondly, there will be a team meeting that same day for everyone participating in our Honduras Mission Trip. This group will be spending a week in Tegucigalpa feeding children, helping teach Bible stories and crafts, working to construct a home, and loving on the children in the Colonia Mogote. Please be sure to pray for those of our church family that will be making the trip to Honduras July 18-25. Finally, our Student Pastor, Brian, will be meeting with all of the 7-12th grade students who are going to Student Life Camp and their parents. As you know, there is always a lot of paperwork associated with road trips and camp, so please be present and get ready for a great camp and an excellent summer! | FM Student Ministry | |
Wednesday Nights:
On Wednesday nights our student ministry starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs until approximately 8:00 p.m. All 7th-12th grade students are invited to join us for Bible study, pizza, worship, and games. Invite your friends to come and check us out on Wednesday nights.
For Students in 7th-12th grade, we have small groups at 7:00-8:30 on Sunday nights at the Webb's Home. Maridee will be teaching the girls, and Brian will be teaching the guys. Come for some fun interactive Bible study and fellowship!
Summer Beach Camp:
We have approximately 45 going to Beach Camp this year. If you have not paid the final payment of $165 it is now due. There will also be a MANDATORY PARENT/STUDENT MEETING on June 6th after the service where you will receive details and releases for camp. |
| The Wave Children's Ministry |
 Children's Ministry: On Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings, we have children's activities for 1st-3rd grades. This is a great time for your child to learn and grow in God's Word while having a lot of fun. If you are interested in helping or bringing your child, please contact Myra Lundstrom for more details.
We are so excited about VBS this summer. VBS will be July 6-9. We will be having a planning meeting on June 13th. If your interested in helping in any way, please contact Samantha Webb at 936.520.2407. We are in need of teachers, decorators, assistant teachers, and many other volunteers. Any person from seventh grade to adults is invited to help out. |

The Ride Pre-Teen Ministry | |
The Ride Update:
We have had an amazing adventure in the "The Ride" preteen ministry. Through Gods blessings, both Wednesdays with Andy and Sundays with Rockey, have continued to grow. These last four weeks we have had a great study of the Beatitudes where God has given us a "map" on how we should live our lives as Christians. Coming up in June we are excited to start our new series called "Plugged In." Join us on Sundays and let's explore.
We are also ready for the summer, with our Astros' outing and our Splashtown trip. We are sorry to announce that the Astros' outing if full; however, the Splashtown trip is still open. If you would like to go to our Splashtown trip, volunteers are also still needed, please contact Stacey Butler: 281-960-6123.
Concerning our volunteers, thank you all for being a part of this wonderful ministry, and serving. We also pray, that any others of you who are interested in serving, will join us in this ministry. Please visit us June 6th, at our church ministry fair, and we can explore together where God has gifted you in serving.
Wednesday Pre-Teen Ministry:
Wednesday night Pre-teens meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Come join us each Wednesday evening for pizza, games, fellowship, and Bible study. All 4th-6th graders are welcome to attend.
Sunday Pre-Teen Ministry:
On Sundays, we have a pre-teen worship and Bible study time for 4th-6th led by Rockey and Stacey Butler. Sign your child in at they foyer, and then bring them to the extension on the sanctuary for a fun time of learning about God's Word and worship.
Pre-Teen Camp:
Preteen camp is July 14-18, 2010 at Trinity Pines in Trinity, Texas. For more information you can email Andy VanHaverbeke at vango@consolidated.net. We have 25 signed up already! |
