From time to time I am asked questions about the health of the church and if Fellowship of Montgomery will continue to grow. My first response is that it must continue to grow but not for the sake of numbers alone. Instead, growth is required because as long as there are lost people in this world, we must continue to reach out. What do healthy plants, healthy children, and healthy churches all have in common? They all grow.
For those of you who are new to Fellowship of Montgomery, this might be the best time for me to give you some data to show you how God is working. The average monthly attendance over a one year period has grown from 57 people in September 2008, to 162 in August 2009. God has blessed us with several new couples, individuals, and families, and I want to encourage you to continue inviting your friends and family to join you on Sundays at Fellowship of Montgomery.
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the events and programs of our student and children's ministries and make plans to join in. You might even want to forward this on to a few of your friends so they can see, first hand, what you have been talking about. They will not want to miss our Homecoming Bonfire on September 30 or our next scheduled 5th Quarter which is set for October 23.
Lord willing, I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we worship our Savior and turn our attention to God's Word.

| Student Ministry |
 See You At The Pole:See You at the Pole is Wednesday, September 23. Students gather outside of your school at the flag pole with other students 30 minutes before school starts. This is a time of prayer for our nation, schools, families, and friends. Homecoming Bonfire:
On September 30, at 6:30 PM, come out to the field next to the stadium's visitor parking and enjoy the festivities of Homecoming. Support the Montgomery Bears as we have a bonfire and music hosted by Fellowship of Montgomery. The Dating Game: On October 4, we are kicking off a small group for students 9th-12th grade. We will have small groups hosted by the Valentines and taught by the Walkers at 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. If you would like more information please contact Brian Roberson or Donna and Ken Walker. 5th Quarter:Our next 5th Quarter is Friday, October 23. Right after the Varsity football game, we will have food, inflatables, competitions, and prizes. Invite your friends and join us for another fun evening at Fellowship of Montgomery. |

 On Wednesdays, we have exciting activities and great learning opportunities planned for children that are 1st through 6th grades. Each week, starting at 6:00 PM, is a special time for your child to grow in God's Word while having a whole lot of fun. If you are interested in serving in this growing ministry or bringing your child, please contact Neile Vance at neile1@aol.com. |
