News from Fellowship of Montgomery

God continues to remind me that He hears and answers our prayers, and to prove it to you I have the tremendous blessing of introducing you to Brian Roberson. Over the past several weeks, I have been meeting, talking, and texting back and forth with Brian and others who have observed his ministry to students and their parents.

On April 27, I had the privilege of introducing Brian and his wonderful family to several members of our Search Team, Finance Team, and Administrative Team. We feel the Lord has led us to Brian and would like to bring him on staff to guide us in reaching and encouraging the students of our community to discover a meaningful life in Jesus Christ.

Immediately following our worship service on May 3, I will meet briefly with the members of Fellowship of Montgomery. On behalf of the Search Team and Administrative Team, I have the privilege of recommending that we call Brian as our new Minister to Students. Today, please take a few minutes to get acquainted with Brian, Maridee, and Mayah by looking through his resume'. If you have any questions, please contact me prior to our May 3, worship service. I look forward to our time together to worship and to affirm the direction God is leading us in.

Pre-Teen Camp

If you have a student 3rd through 6th grade, then it's time to register for Pre-Teen Camp at Trinity Pines. Camp dates are Wednesday, July 15, through Sunday, July 19. The cost for camp is $195.

A $50 deposit is due at registration. An additional $50 is due by May 27. No refunds can be guaranteed after this time. The camper's remaining balance will be due in the church office by Sunday, July 11. Campers and Adults interested in going as sponsors need to contact Andy Van.

Old Cell Phones

Our youth are currently participating in a fundraiser to help offset the cost of student camp. If you have recently updated your cell phone and still have your previous phone, we would like to take it off your hands. You may have noticed a small, white box located in the hallway of the church office. Please donate your cell phones by dropping them in this box. The phones will then be collected and shipped to our sponsor. Thanks for supporting our Student Ministry!

Student Life Camp

Youth camp is June 29 through July 3, on the beach at South Padre Island. This will be the second year our youth have attended Student Life @ The Beach. As they will tell you, this camp offers top-shelf Bible study, beach volleyball tournaments, and plenty of free time to hang out on the beach. Registration and deposits are due now. We have a waiting list and do not want anyone that wants to go to be left out. The total cost is $350, and this full amount is due in the church office no later than May 17. A parent meeting will also take place on that date. For more information, please contact Brandon in the church office.
