News from Fellowship of Montgomery

An attitude of gratitude...that's the way I would describe the mood around Fellowship of Montgomery. I believe I speak for all of us when I say, "God, thank You for being so good. You never cease to amaze us." We continue to see new families come our way each week to worship with us. When I show up at church I find myself expectant and wondering what God will do that day.

I want to encourage you to be with us Sunday at 10:45 a.m. as we continue our study of the names of God. Be sure to tell those around you how you feel about your church and invite them to join you.

The DOCK Training
The DOCK is our exciting children's worship hour and is specifically designed for Kindergarten through 4th graders. Each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. includes worship, age-appropriate Bible teaching, crafts, activities, and a whole lot of fun!

Adults, there is always room for more hands-on-deck, so if you would like to "set sail" and join The DOCK volunteer crew, please contact Christy Hall or Jennifer Van. A meeting for all current and prospective children's volunteers will be held at the church on March 8, at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.

Student Life Camp

Camp this year will be June 29 through July 3, on the beautiful beaches of South Padre Island. This will be the second year our youth have attended Student Life @ The Beach. As they will tell you, this camp offers top-shelf Bible study, beach volleyball tournaments (which we won our first year), and plenty of free time to hang out on the beach. The cost is $350, and all payments are due in the church office no later than May 17. A parent's meeting will take place on May 17 (more details on that soon). Pre-Teen Camp

Hey everyone! If you have a student 3rd through 6th grade, then it's time to register for Pre-Teen Camp at Trinity Pines. Camp dates are Wednesday, July 15, through Sunday, July 19. The cost for camp is $195.

A $50 deposit is due at registration. An additional $50 is due by May 27. No refunds can be guaranteed after this time. The camper's remaining balance will be due in the church office by Sunday, July 11.

Campers and Adults interested in going as sponsors need to contact Andy Van.

Spring Forward

Daylight-saving time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2009. We don't want to miss seeing you and getting to worship with you on Sunday, so go ahead an run your clocks up an hour on Saturday evening before you go to bed. And while you are at it, remind a friend as well.

Work Day

A work day at our church is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at 8:00 a.m. This would be a great time for your students to earn additional funds to assist with summer camp. Our primary goals for this day include the removal of the dirt mounds behind our building and general yard work. Please contact Carl Reed at 936-760-9720 for more information.
