 APRIL/2011

Greetings!

April and May are shaping up to be busy months at HFHSTW. On April 29, Florida Marine Transporters will hold their annual golf tournament and once again this year, HFHSTW will be the recipient of the proceeds. Funds raised at the golf tournament will be dedicated to our 200th home now under construction.

On May 6, we will hold a Mother's Day Build in West Abita Springs. Also, in conjunction with Mother's Day, you can make a donation to HFHSTW in honor or in memory of your mother. Your donation will benefit Habitat's Fall 2011 Women Build.

From May 13-14 the Sanctuary For Art Home Tour will be held in the Sanctuary. Thanks to the sponsors, The Sanctuary, Latter & Blum Inc. Realtors, and Inside Northside, all proceeds will be donated to HFHSTW for our Fall 2011 Women Build Project.

[Habitat STW 30th Anniversary]Finally on May 20, HFHSTW will dedicate its 200th home. Over the past 30 years this affiliate has been a leader in building affordable single family homes in West St. Tammany. The 200 homes represent 200 Family Partners composed of more than 500 individuals ranging in age from infants to individuals in their 80s. We have attained this milestone through the support of donors and volunteers in this community as well as with the support from donors and volunteers from across the U.S.A. and from foreign countries. Therefore, we invite all donors and volunteers to join us at the dedication of our 200th home on Friday May 20, 2011 at 4pm at 72514 Rose St. Join us and the Nixon family for this very special dedication.

So whether you pick up a golf club or a hammer, put on a pair of walking shoes to stroll through several lovely homes or join us at the 200th home dedication, you can enjoy the Spring weather and help HFHSTW start on the next 200 homes and achieve its mission to eliminate substandard housing in West St. Tammany.

Thanks for your support,

Jeff St. Romain,
President/CEO
