Women Build construction begins soon!
Greetings!

Habitat STW's Women Build 2010 held a fantastic Kick Off event and is ready to begin construction! We're in the process of registering volunteers, signing up sponsors, securing materials, scouting for snacks and lining up professional services to build two affordable homes with the Searight and Carson families in West Abita Subdivision off Hwy. 36.
 
In years past we've held Women Build as a two-week and four-week project. This year, We hope you will join us in our extended six-week build, from Sept. 17 to Oct. 30. We have plenty of opportunities to volunteer with friends and colleagues. Send you volunteer questions to volunteer@habitatstw.org or learn more below.

Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West has served the west St. Tammany parish community since 1981, creating 185 affordable new homes with low-income families. Homes are created with volunteer labor and community funding, then sold to HFHSTW HomeBuyers with zero-interest mortgage loans. Each HomeBuyer participates in financial education programs and contributes some 400 hours of "sweat-equity." Call 985-898-0642 or visit www.habitatstw.org for more info.
