Greetings!
Habitat staff and partners have welcomed the new year and have already started celebrating success stories. In December, Habitat STW donated 10% of unrestricted funds through an annual tithe to its partner affiliate in Uganda, where we have helped over 125 families. This month, we dedicated our two Women Build homes and have hosted several out-of-town volunteer groups with Habitat's Collegiate Challenge program which will continue through May. We look forward finishing 20 homes this year with help from a couple of new projects including CEO Build, Bench Bar & Badge Build and Building on Faith efforts.
We hope you will join us for the dedication of three new homes on Jasmine Street this Saturday at 1pm. Our new homeowners are excited to celebrate with all our volunteers, supporters, family and friends.
In case you haven't heard the news, we have said farewell (but not goodbye) to our President/CEO Maureen Clary who is heading her career in a new direction. We thank her for everything she has done for Habitat and wish her the best in her endeavors. While we are in the process of hiring her successor, Terri Gage, our director of family services, will be leading the team.
