Greetings!
When the 25th annual Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter Work Project kicks off May 11 along the Gulf Coast, more than 250 volunteers from around the world will descend upon Covington to build 10 homes in five days for Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West. How will you help? |

Hospitality Volunteers
Because of the enormous scope of JRCWP, HFHSTW is seeking help from the local community to work as "hospitality ambassadors" at various times throughout the week.
Volunteers will assist HFHSTW staff with logistical activities, delivering water and snacks and registering construction volunteers at the construction site in Abita Nursery Subdivision.
"No building experience is required, just the desire to help showcase our world-famous hospitality to the construction teams," said Maureen Clary, President and CEO of HFHSTW.
Construction volunteers from the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Japan and Australia have committed to working every day of the five-day blitz build.
Clary estimates that between 250-500 local volunteers, working five-hour shifts will be needed in order to facilitate the needs of the work crews. About 40 additional week-long construction volunteers are also needed to supplement the international contingent.
