Cut-a-Thon for Japanese Victims of March Tsunami & Quake

Do you have a school-aged child or know one who needs a great haircut? Join us on Monday, July 18th from 11 am to 3 pm for a children's cut-a-thon to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross to aid the victims of the March 2011 Tsunami and Earthquake. Cuts will be $20 and all proceeds go to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
To keep the kiddos busy while they wait for their cuts, we will have hands-on origami crafts for kids demonstrated by the daughter of our own Orie Hanrahan!
In order to raise as much money as possible by accommodating as many haircuts as we can, there will be no blowdrying included with the haircut. We will have blow dryers available should you wish to assist your child with drying his or her hair.

Salon Khouri Now Open on Monday!
That's right, Salon Khouri is now open every Monday. We are here to answer phones, emails, and take clients with our newest stylist, Heather Zak (see welcome article below). We are here seven days a week to help you look your best!

We are happy to introduce to you our newest stylist, Heather Zak. Heather joined us in March having graduated in the top of her class from the Graham Webb Academy in September 2010. Heather prides herself on listening to clients' needs and concerns, providing them with hair that is both functional and stylish. Heather is adamant about delivering exceptional customer service to each and every client.
Heather currently works every other Sunday from 10 to 4, Monday from 10 to 5, Friday from 11 to 7, and every other Saturday from 10 to 5. She will be adding more days and hours to her schedule throughout the summer and fall.
Also, you may have noticed a familiar face at the front desk. We are happy to announce that Tina Milillio has rejoined Salon Khouri as our Front Desk Coordinator. Welcome back Tina!
We will be sad to say goodbye to Leah Nissley this fall as she will be getting married and moving out-of-state. Leah started with Salon Khouri through our internship program and is now a stylist. We will definitely miss her sunny personality! |

In April, stylists Rebecca Garcia and Kristin Fletcher attended the world renowned Vidal Sassoon education center in San Francisco to take a five day, hands-on cutting course. The course was intense, starting promptly each day and working until evening. The Vidal Sassoon cutting technique is known for extreme precision allowing the stylist to give you an extremely clean, modern cut.
Also in April, a member of the Kevin Murphy team joined Salon Khouri to demonstrate new styling techniques using the Kevin Murphy product line. Ask your stylist for tips and tricks they learned in the class!
In May, Heather Zak attended a two classes from Euphora: razor cutting and long layers. The razor cutting workshop was led by Global Artist Taylor Jameson who is known as Euphora's "Razor Queen!"
In July, stylist Kimitra McAllister will be heading to the Wella Color Studio in New York to take their Essential Color class.
