Greetings!

Don't you just love the fall? We certainly do at Salon Khouri! The days are cooler, the humidity is lower, the nights are actually chilly and there are homecoming games to attend. For some of us the children are back in school and holidays and special times with families are just around the corner. As I sit gazing out the window at the woods, the Dogwoods have turned bright red with berries, foretelling of another lovely round of blossoms for next year. Leaves are slowly dropping from oak, elm and pecan. Squirrels are busy gathering their seeds and nuts for the winter days ahead. There is even an occasional whiff of someone's fireplace in the air. Fall is filled with wonderful fragrances, warm colors and timeless traditions.

Don't miss out on our traditions at Salon Khouri. We're holding our third annual cut-a-thon in honor of Taylor Love, a 4 year old Ashburn resident with the pediatric cancer, neuroblastoma. Thanks to treatment based on research specific to this cancer, Taylor has shown no evidence of disease since Spring 2008. Join us on October 25, from noon to 4 p.m. to cut out neuroblastoma! Come have your hair cut for a donation of $25 (or as much as you feel you can contribute to fight this horrible disease). Enjoy an afternoon of pampering and support a cause dear to our hearts. 100% of all funds collected will be donated toward neuroblastoma research. Our stylists are all donating their time and efforts to this cause! We might even have a visit from Taylor and her mom and that's a real treat! Be sure to tell your friends and family about this special event - you can send them our flyer.

On the topic of cancer, let's all remember that October is breast cancer awareness month. Read about our Pink Hair for Hope campaign below. And, please join us for our open house on October 8. Think Pink in October!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month and we want you to think PINK. We're offering a SO CAP signature pink extension for your hair for a $10 donation to support breast cancer awareness. 100% of the proceeds from this campaign will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help fund breast cancer research through 'pink hair for hope.'

Also in October, we're offering 10% off select jewelry items to help you get your holiday shopping done early.

Fourth Annual Open House

Join our Salon Khouri staff and our other wonderful clients for an evening of wine and h'ors d'ouvres on Thursday, October 8 from 6 - 8 p.m. Purchase those holiday gifts and win prizes. If you bring a friend who has never been to Salon Khouri, both you and your friend will receive a $10 Salon Khouri gift card. During the open house you will receive 20% off all retail product purchases, 10% off all artwork, and 10% off all gift card purchases. We will raffle off three baskets each filled with product and one Salon Khouri Gift card valued at either $25, $50 or $75.

November - What Are You Thankful For?

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays we all look forward to enjoying. Some think of it as the kick-off to Christmas and the coming New Year. Salon Khouri will once again take part in the food drive to benefit local food banks. Now more than any time in our salon's history are there families who need our help. At Salon Khouri we will take $1 off your service for every can you bring in up to 5 of non-expired canned goods.

Our ever-popular jewelry show takes place on December 19, just in time for those last minute gift purchases. Stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to browse our huge collection of jewelry. Loyalty Points Reminder

Don't forget to take advantage of the loyalty points system. You earn points according to the amount you purchased: 1 point for $10.01-$20, 2 points for $20.01-$30, 3 points for $30.01-$40, 4 points for $40.01-$50 and 5 points for any item purchased over $50. Once you have earned 10 points you can begin redeeming your points for merchandise. Each point is redeemable for $1 and points can only be used for products not services.

Salon Khouri Cancellation Policy

Salon Khouri requires a 24-hour advance cancellation of appointments. For any appointment cancelled with less than a 24-hour notice, or for any "no-show" appointment, you will be charged 50% of the missed appointment before you may schedule your next appointment. The amount will be added to your next appointment. Please be mindful of your stylists and other customers if you must reschedule your appointment for any reason. Thank you!
