So read below for information about the Jewelry Show this Saturday, September 20, 2008, our referral contest running through September and October, as well as our upcoming Cut-A-Thon on October 28th.

Reminder - Jewelry Show this Saturday
Saturday, September 20th, be sure to come by Salon Khouri between 10 and 3 to browse a huge collection of jewelry. We will have many items for you to choose from - our jewelry makes for great gifts -- for friends and family, or yourself! Clients have been asking us when we were having another show, so here it is! There will be pieces for everyone - priced from $15 and up. So be sure to mark your calendar! See you there!!

| Cut-A-Thon: Help End the Pediatric Cancer Neuroblastoma
Last year we were  blessed to raise over $2,600 to fight neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer affecting many little angels who should never have to know the word cancer. We can't thank you enough for your support! This year, our efforts will support the Band of Parents, a non-profit assembled by parents of children suffering from neuroblastoma.
The cut-a-thon has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Haircuts are only $25 --- all proceeds go to the Band of Parents organization. We will also be collecting donations at the salon from now until the cut-a-thon, in the event that you are unable to attend but would like to donate. Please call the salon at 703.273.7878 or email us to schedule your time slot for the cut-a-thon.
To ensure that we raise as much money as possible for the event, here are a few helpful reminders:
- Like last year, we will not be blowdrying hair for the cut-a-thon. We will provide dryers and products if you would like to dry and style your hair before leaving the salon.
- We ask that you come with clean hair, if possible.

Referral Contest
We are having a referral contest for the month of September and October -- the client who refers the most new clients to the salon will receive a $150 Salon Khouri gift card! You will also continue to recieve a 10% referral award for each client you refer to the salon!

Process Changes @ Salon Khouri
This past year at Salon Khouri, we have been evaluating areas where we could do better to help the environment. One change we made was bringing in a recycling program, which is going very well! (Reminder: bring back an empty, recyclable product bottle you purchased at Salon Khouri and receive $1 off your next product purchase). We are now looking at the referral postcards we send out via postal mail. Our system has recently been upgraded to accommodate automatic tracking of new client referrals. Therefore, we will soon be transitioning from paper postcards automatic tracking in the system. Less paper, and you don't have to remember to bring in your postcard to redeem your 10% reward!
Also, we will be soon transitioning from phone call appointment confirmations to email appointment confirmations. Of course, we understand that some would prefer to receive phone confirmations, and, at your request, we will gladly call instead of emailing an appointment confirmation. | | |
