Greetings!

Fall is a busy time for Project Home Indy.  We kicked off the season with a celebration at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library.  If you were unable to attend the event, you can see video footage from the evening here.

During this season of gratitude, we are grateful for our partnership with Trinity Episcopal Church.  Thanks to the vision and commitment of this congregation, Project Home Indy has a home.  Tom Kryder-Reid, Rector, sums up Trinity's enthusastic support, "PHI's mission in support of pregnant and parenting teens addresses an urgent need here in Indianapolis. It also fits right into Trinity's commitment to collaborative urban ministry."

And, we are thankful for the start of the renovation of Project Home, a collaboration with the staff  and teen moms of Future Promises and for growing corporate awareness and support. For more details...keep reading!
Construction Underway!
front house nov 09Located on the campus of Trinity Episcopal Church, the future site of Project Home Indy is now under construction!  Extensive renovation of this home will take place this winter with completion projected for late spring 2010. After years of planning and raising money for this project, we are thrilled to see the daily changes happening on site. You can track our construction progress via Facebook or Flickr.
Future Promises Support
Wanda Spann Roddy, the Director of Future Promises, a program that serves more than 170 pregnant and parenting teens in four Indianapolis high schools, spoke at PHI's August fundraiser about the homeless pregnant and parenting teens she encounters in her work. "We have witnessed the need for a house like Project Home Indy for years," she told the audience.

After being introduced to Project Home Indy, more than a dozen parenting teen moms involved with Future Promises and working to finish high school wrote grants on behalf of Project Home Indy this fall. Read more about this exciting collaboration...

KPMG, St. Vincent's and Managed Health Services
Corporate support is building for Project Home Indy!  For a third year, KPMG has been a vital corporate partner for PHI.  This year, they served as one of the lead sponsors for our annual fundraiser and this fall, a team of volunteers spent a Saturday morning at Project Home Indy's future site clearing more than 55 bags of yard waste.

Managed Health Services joined KPMG in serving as a lead sponsor of our third annual fundraiser with additional sponsorship provided by Katz, Sapper & Miller, Cindy Collier Consulting and Integrity Partners.  Their generous financial support makes it possible for PHI to lay the groundwork for opening our doors next year.

Also this fall, St. Vincent's Rural and Urban Access to Health program collected boxes of new and gently used baby clothes and other supplies on our behalf.
But most of all, those of us involved with Project Home Indy are grateful for your support

Happy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,
