In Search for the Perfect Running Shoe

 

Researchers at RMIT are aiming to develop the ideal running shoe customized to each runner. RMIT's School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering are working with Japanese sportswear and equipment manufacturer Mizuno to develop a new running shoe. Researchers are applying a novel user-centered engineering design approach known as Kansei Engineering "to identify the needs and emotions of runners".To learn more go here.

The Future Unlimited video showcases Australian education and training in a creative, innovative and engaging way. Aimed primarily at prospective undergraduate students, the video has already received very positive feedback from international students. Innovation Den and Globe, 14 - 16 March, 2012

 

The Innovation Den will occur on Thursday, 15 March from 3pm - 7pm in Vancouver, Canada.  UQ, James Cook and UWA will be attending.

Australian universities and CSIRO will be participating in an "Innovation Den" to present their latest research on clean energy in the fields of solar, biomass, CCS, and water management. The Innovation Den will be held on 15 March 2012 and will run alongside the Globe conference to be held in Vancouver, BC from 14-16 March 2012. Globe is a world leading Conference and Trade Fair on the "business of the environment". Learn more here. 

 

Forum on Education Abroad Conference, 21 - 23 March 2012
